This is a restaurant associated with the historic house also called Castle in the Clouds. But, the restaurant is in the old carriage house part way up the mountain toward the actual historic house. The restaurant serves a rather nice lunch, which I am prepared to review for you.

Fabulous views, good food, wonderful setting at an affordable price

We chose a crystal clear and warm sunny day to have lunch at the restaurant. The view alone was well worth it and not to be missed! Unfortunately this year they are having a problem with the wasps. We were warned about them in advance by the manager but were determined to eat out on the patio just the same.... More

The food and the menu were great. But the wasps were all over us once the drinks arrived. Many people went back inside. The view on the porch make a nice location. There is a full bar. Without the wasps it would be a nice place to have lunch. I hope they solve the wasp problem soon. Without the wasps... More

The food at the Carriage house was outstanding. The wait staff where very friendly and helpful, although they did not dress the part. The scallops were very fresh and the dressing (pear) was wonderful. Barry the trolley river was a source of information and the guides during the tour were very helpful and not pushy. We will visit again and... More

Nice setting overlooking the Lake. Professional and friendly service. Our table tried fish tacos ("one of best"); turkey sandwich; and pulled pork sandwich. All good and plenty of food!

What a great experience. Having food allergies makes dining out a challenge. They were very helpful in checking ingredients and a special effort to make sure the grill was clear of possible contamination. Quality and presentation were wonderful. Will come back again and again with friends!

This restaurant is in our back yard and we enjoyed it so much that we brought guests to share a great time. The chef prepares very appetizing dishes and the ambiance and décor add to the experience. A tour of the castle is a must as there is so much history right in the clouds.

You're there for the view, so make sure you get a table outside on the veranda in spite of the bees! Great watching the hawks soaring through the sky around us. Umbrellas over each table are key with the bright sunshine. I had the Tomfoolery and it was decent - tasted fresh if a bit bland - could use some... More
