Ate dinner here this week .... I thought the complimentary chips and salsa were rather lame, and the prices high, but overall the food was okay and portions huge. Service was good. Their kitchen was full of smoke when I arrived (you could see it when they opened the door) .... they said they are having issues with the fan,... More

The food is terrific. Family owned and owner often does the cooking. Same owners as El Centenario in Wolfeboro.

The food here was really good. The portions are huge. The staff was helpful. The decor was sort of kitschy Mexican. The view from the enormous front window - New Hampshire mountains - was beautiful. A winner of a restaurant.

I currently live in the south and was up visiting my folks in Moultonboro and we went here. In my current town, there are literally SIX Mexican restaurants--and this place here is great. Just really, really good food. Guacamole tasted fresh, huge portions, refried beans were hot and steaming, as if freshly prepared, unlike everywhere else I've been where it... More

I am not a huge fan of Mexican as I have the "cilantro=dish soap syndrome" but I know my husband loves it so I figured we would stop on our way home. Our server seemed new and was helpful in finding a dish that would work for me. I ordered the paella which sounded good and I figured for $23... More

Went to this restaurant on the recommendation of friends. We were not disappointed, the food was great. There were four of us and we thought the total bill was very reasonable, so I don't understand complaints about prices. Our dining partners spend their winters just a few miles from the Mexican border and they thought the mole sauce was the... More

The glowing reviews here are surprising; the food was decent as far as Mexican goes (and I do eat my share of tacos), but the prices were absolutely RIDICULOUS. No lunch specials (only in the winter?!), and atmosphere like what you would expect in an Lakes Region Mexican restaurant that used to be a seafood restaurant. Bottom line, spend your... More

I just didn't expect authentic Mexican food in this small town in the upper part of NH. While visiting a friend we had dinner at this small restaurant and the food was exceptional. They had dishes that I have not seen outside of Mexico such a Chili en Nogado my favorite. The guacamole made tableside was excellent and everyone raved... More

I was worried by how disorganzed and short staffed the restaurant appeared, but we were seated on a Sunday evening of a holiday weekend in about 25 minutes without a reservation. The wait was worth it. The wait staff was excellent and the food even better. Really great Carnitas, Guacamole, Skirt Steak and Enchiladas. Will make reservations next time but... More

The service here was excellent-couldn't have been better. The food was the most 'Americanized' Mexican food I've ever eaten- ok, but not at all exciting. The cheese on top of the enchiladas was shredded mozzarella straight out of the bag, not even melted. I guess I'm spoiled by the quality Mexican restaurants back home in Montana. And the margarita. It... More
