We went on recommendation of our hotel. We went and the place was packed and we found a place near the bar to sit. The server was rushing around and really not attentive. She thru the specials at us only after we asked and she just wanted to get our orders. Seems like they are understaffed..felt like diner service. We... More

This is the second time i sat at the bar and my main course never came.I went back because the food is good but never again. Its hard to believe a restaurant now a days with the available technology can be run so poorly. If it happened to me twice, its got to be a regular occurrence. If you chance eating there... More

Finally tried Buckley's. We decided to sit in the tavern. The atmosphere was nice, nothing over the top. We started out with the homemade potato chips with a whiskey sour and margarita which all was good. Then it was on to the Sugar Cured Strip Loin and USDA Prime Strip Loin both came with mashed potato and steamed squash. Meal... More

The name says it all. We've eaten here four times in the last year and every meal has been superb from start to finish. My favorite is the brown sugar steak and the corn and scallion risotto (though it was changed to a caramelized onion risotto last time we visited which was superb as well). A little pricey but the... By far this is one of the best steaks I've had. It was cooked extremely well and the sides that came with it were equally delicious. The atmosphere was nice, in the dining room it is a bit more upscale while in the bar area it was a bit more laid back. I would recommend if you're there for romance... More

It had been some time since we visited Buckley’s in Merrimack, NH. Our return visit wasn’t bad but in some ways, a little disappointing. The menu in the main dining room seemed to offer fewer selections and the prices seemed higher than ever. Thankfully, there is a larger menu at more reasonable prices in the tavern. Several in our party... More

An occasion to celebrate a wedding anniversary with great steaks. We had both extremes -one rare and one well done- and both were grilled on open flame to perfection. Atmosphere is assured by the converted old and large house; service is impeccable; and imported beer choices varied. We rarely eat large meals in the evening (another surprise that comes with... One does not need a special occasion to visit Buckley's even thou it was my birthday. Very clean (they must use a great cleaning service), and it is not that expensive.

Whenever we visit our son and daughter-in-law in Merrimack we try to get to Buckley's for a special meal. We are never disappointed. I love the atmosphere, the service, the appetizers (loved the shrimp bruschetta), the special cocktails, and of course the steaks. My Prime strip steak, served with a side of bernaise, melted in my mouth. The kids had... More

We brought my in-laws here for Father's Day. Both my husband and his father love this place. Steaks are very good and the menu has good choices for non-beef eaters as well. We ate in the tavern on this occasion. My mother in law is a picky eater and gives very explicit instructions on how to prepare her order. This... More
