God awful expensive glue on a plate

This place has a predominant location so lots of people see and go there but I have no idea why anyone returns after their first visit it's just terrible it's one step above the cafeteria and about on par with school lunch quality in terms of its food.

If you like turkey and even if you don't, this restaurant is a NH tradition and run by the Hart Family for many many years. The history alone makes this a special place to eat...and the food is good basic food. Don't go if you want gourmet food but if you want wonderful turkey, good mashed potatoes, gravy etc. This... After driving by the famous restaurant a few times to/from Funspot with the kids, we decided to stop in and try the place whose name we had been making fun of for months (say LET's GO TO HAAAAT's in a BA-ston accent...it was funny to us...) So we stopped in on a snowy Sunday evening and there was almost NOBODY... More

Turkey is moist, mashed potatoes not instant, squash as you'd expect, and gravy tops everything off. You can have a repeat of Thanksgiving dinner 265 days a year. And during the off season, they have a Friday night buffet including turkey and all the fixings, plus a salad bar and dessert table, and roast beef. Come hungry, and you'll leave... More

We took my step-brother and his wife for the buffet on Halloween evening. He hadn't been there in almost 40 years and he swears it looked the same décor wise but he enjoyed it very much especially the prices. There was prime rib in addition to the turkey, salad bar, rolls, carrot relish, stuffing and gravy, squash and other veggies,... More

If you are looking for a southern, home-cooked meal that is comforting and wonderful, this is the place to go! Troy, our server, was welcoming and diligent. The turkey dinner taste like grandma made it.

They do turkey well, but the decor is from the 60's - mostly older population but hey you are coming for the food, afterall. Who doesn't like a turkey dinner!

We had a wonderful full dinner of turkey, stuffing, squash, and cranberry sauce. Wait staff was very attentive.

One would think that a restaurant whose name includes "turkey" would take more pride in presenting a few decent slices or at least small chunky pieces of turkey along with the stuffing, gravy and sweet potatoes. I ordered the 5-oz portion of turkey. I can understand that caviar may be sold by the precious ounce, but surely not turkey! My... More

We decided to change our usual Thanksgiving plans to an early holiday dinner at this iconic NH restaurant in Meredith, down the street from the town docks. (We've visited before with excellent results, but never tried it on the holiday.) Traffic was nonexistent when we left our house in Massachusetts on Thanksgiving morning for the trek to Meredith. NH must... More
