Lunch at the Chophouse

We normally visit the Chop House for dinner, but decided to try it for lunch. We absolutely love the lobster bisque, but it was not available for lunch. We asked our waiter if there was any chance of getting the lobster bisque and he made it happen! Great food, great atmosphere, great service... read more

A truly wonderful atmosphere and excellent waitstaff. Great location and plenty of parking. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who has not tried it yet. Great food!

We were a party of 5 for a birthday celebration and it was perfect. This is a top notch steak house in line with any in Boston or even NYC. Masculine feel to the place with dark wood, pics of horses etc. A nice sized bar greets you upon entrance. There was a low buzz so you could talk. We... More

The food is good but not outstanding as many reviews suggest. The service is pretentious and inconsistent. I have been to the Chophouse for business lunches on many occasions and it was fine. In December I went with my family for dinner and was disappointed. I tried the Chophouse again last month with my wife for dinner and while the... More

Faccacia bread was great as was the lump crabmeat cocktail. I ordered the prime rib special and was delighted with the Chef's preparation. This might be the best meal I have ever had at this restaurant!

Our table was directly near an air vent that made it chilly. It was also near a food holder, utensil and water station that my boyfriend chair couldn't clear fully so it made it a tight move if you had to get up. The ambiance was upscale but causal with a business feel. The piano was too loud at times... More

One of the best upscale steak houses north of Boston. Combine it with a play just a block down the street at The Place Theater and you will have a wonderful evening.

Service was excellent, food was not exceptional! Found it very expensive for the quality of the food.

Just got back from the Hanover Street Chophouse and had a great meal. I had the Kansas city dry aged steak, wife had the filet and added the scallops wrapped in bacon turf choice. I started with a special appetizer, the calamari, which was good, not great, but good. Then had an ice berg wedge salad, which was very good,... More

We traveled to NH to visit our kids and grandkids and took the family to the Hanover Street Chophouse based on ratings we found. The ambience is very nice and is reminiscent of New York restaurants. The service at the bar was excellent while we were waiting for our table to be prepared. The server, Agnes was also attentive and... More
