Oh My...Wonderful Place with Great Food

This is a cute little cafe where everything is prepared when you ordered it. So everything is fresh. The tastes were amazing. Spice, cilandro-lime, cashews were all combined in just the right amounts. Service was great. An entirely positive experience.

An absolutely pathetic place to go, sit and eat. Feel like wasting my words and time explaining it. Have been to the region they say that the food and style belongs to(Nepalese or the Himalayan Region), and trust me they are a million miles away from what Nepalese ethnic food has to offer and I know it. They used to... More

The food was extraordinary. I've never previously had Nepalese cuisine and was amazed at the flavors. The paneer mo mo was delicate and delicious. The meal was a good as any that I've had in a restaurant. The server was very helpful in guiding our meal selection and making appropriate recommendations. The meal was underpriced for the meal quality. I... More

We had never eaten Nepalese food, and, frankly, it was a little out of our comfort zone, but we had heard many good things about Cafe Momo and decided to try it for lunch. The tiny restaurant is in a strip mall across from our grandson's school, so our interest had been building for some time. The waitress was a... More

My mother is Nepalese, so I know from good Nepalese food. The momos are delicious, and the achar (a kind of sauce) they serve on the side is superb. The food is authentic and well prepared, and also kind of light and healthy. Highly recommended.

Never thought we would have a Nepalese lunch today. But we did and enjoyed it. Simple inside, easy lunch menu, fresh, pleasant food. Great string beans with cumin and chili - very crispy. Portobello curry and haddock with fresh veggies were very nice as well. Would go back and explore other plates.

A tiny gem -serving Nepali food! A wonderful mix of FRESH veggies, wonderful spices, tasty dumplings (momo) - and meat/fish if desired. Not too fancy - but very charming and comfortable - with very pleasant and attentive staff. They are careful to inquire about the level of spiciness you prefer, and anxious to explain the different dishes. I had the... More

Wonderfully fresh food in a lovely environment. The food was absolutely delicious,- the sauces light and flavorful with spiciness to order and the vegetables crisp and perfectly cooked. The wine recommendation was lovely with the meal. The service was attentive. Will go out of our way to come up from NYC to eat here again.

Read the great reviews and can see the potential for really good food - had a sampling.... BUT.... service was horrible, sat for 15 minutes before we got menus, waitress was totally disinterested, tried to place a sampling order with mix of appetizers and entrees - they got it wrong, had to ask for a glass with the can of... We have been meaning to try this restaurant out for months and we finally did and definitely wish we had sooner. The food is Nepalese/Indian style. I had the Lentil Soup which was excellent with just the right amount of spice, we also had the Jerk Chicken appetizer and the flat bread which were outstanding. We then had a entrée... More
