When you go here order the chicken fingers. If you don't think they are they best you ever eaten well tell us where that place is. Also order the fries and onion rings great combo for great price.

We have been going to and or taking out at the Puritan Backroom for years. I have never had a bad meal in all the years we have been dining there. Going earlier or later as there is always a waiting line, but it is well worth the wait. They also have separate rooms for parties etc.

The staff at the Puritan Never disappoints my family and friends. Try their bucket of chicken tenders and you will back again and again. Great location on north end, easy parking before going downtown.

Step back in time with this old charmer. I almost did a double take when I walked in. I haven't seen a huge restaurant like this that hadn't been updated in decades in a long time. Maybe it was in Wyoming or Montana that I saw such a rare creature. I went there with the spouse hangry like crazy people.... More

I went here with my husband and ordered from the vegitarian section of the menu. After taking a bite of my rice, I called over the waitress. I wanted to double check and make sure that there was no shellfish of any kind in the stir fry as the rice had a funny flavor and red color. She proceeded to yell me... More

Of course their chicken tenders are the most well known and loved in the area but their other foods are great too. Home style cooking you can get turkey with gravy, burgers and fish. Their menu is huge and well diverse. One of my favorite thing is their pizza cripsy, cheesy and delicious. Their drinks are very good and well... More

It is a great place to take out of town business associates who want more than a chain restaurant. It really is an iconic restaurant in Manchester where the food and service are always great. Can be loud at times and quite hectic because it is so popular

We have been going to the Puritan Backroom for over 40 years. We no longer live in the area but make it a point to eat there more than once each time we visit the Manchester area. The seafood and chicken tenders are awesome. The ice cream and take out is wonderful! The event staff is great!

We had heard great things about the Puritan Backroom so, on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, we stopped in around 2:00 for lunch/supper (we knew this was the "big" meal of the day). It's a little odd to go here for the first time because the Conference Center and the ice cream parlor (which also does to-go sandwiches) are on the... More
