The back room, good family style restaurant

Puritan is a great place for a mid priced meal, which tastes pretty good. Large menu selection for everyone in the family. Service has always been good. Has function rooms that are available. Worth the visit if you don't feel like cooking and it won't break the bank.

If you are in Manchester you "MUST" go here. The portions are large, the prices are reasonable. I had the best chicken tenders I ever had. My server was awesome. She had a great personality, and was always checking to see if everything was ok. Of course we ended up taking home most of each plate. Nothing like two meals... More

When I have a lunch meeting in Manchester, I love to stop here for chicken tenders. Busy place at lunch, get there early. Prices are good, service is good as well.

you must order a mudslide...they are impeccable and you can order a half so don't think it's too much. The food is amazing! I wanted to try everything on the menu but the Vegetarian Mac and Cheese was deeeee-luscious and I'm not even vegetarian! Hand dipped ice cream is the icing on the cake! I will definitely visit this place... More

The Puritan has been around for years, and I have only been able to enjoy it for the past 12 so far, and I love it! The Puritan is a destination in its own right, as I will make a special trip just to have buffalo chicken fingers, onion rings and a mudslide. The flavor of the food is out... More

Grabbed take out from the Puritan Backroom on a recent business trip to Manchester New Hampshire. They have plenty of gluten free options. I had the gluten free chicken cordon bleu and a salad with gluten free honey mustard dressing. Everything was very good. Would definitely go back there next trip.

Portions are large, Ice cream is made in-house and fried seafood is awsome. My only disappointment...they used to have the best homemade tartar sauce but then they started putting dill into it and now it's ruined so I stopped buying they're fried seafood and only rarely go for the ice cream.

Whenever you mention The Puritan everyone raves about the mud slides and there is definitely a reason for it! They are huge and delicious not to mention the huge selection, I was pretty much full from that, the bread, and salad by the time I got to my meal. Great restaurant besides the long wait since its a very popular... More

Have dined here for lunch/dinners several times over the last year with friends and work associates and must say we hope to continue to enjoy. The recent change in the menu confused us even tho they say everything is still there (seems smaller tho). Our favs are there so fine with us. The portions are huge- always take something home.... The Puritan Backroom has been in Manchester many years. In a recent mid-week visit for dinner service was slow and meals were lackluster- lamb dish presented in an unappealing manner and while the eggplant in the eggplant parmisian was tasty it was plopped onto a plateful of lukewarm spaghetti in an uninteresting sauce.I will say the Cosmopoltan ordered from the...
