Description: I first encountered the True Soul of chocolate in 1995. For fifteen years I have sought her subtle nuances, studied her moods, struggled to understand her complex temper. She is a most difficult mistress; coquettish and proud, quick to anger, open only to the most patient of overtures.I’ve learned to prepare her in the ancient ways of the Maya and in the gleaming kitchens of the finest Parisian chocolatiers. I have studied her at ecole Chocolat in Vancouver and at the prestigious Ecole du Grand Chocolat Valrhona in the Rhone Valley of France. I am proud to count among my friends some of the finest chocolatiers from Montreal to Melbourne to Guatemala.Chocolate is my passion. I will never master her–who can master one so willful and tempestuous? But I will continue to woo her and to craft a small bit of her soul into each truffle and bonbon I create. For chocolate is art. And as art she is magnificent.

I dropped in to buy chocolates and also procured a Ham & Cheese Mallorca, that I elected to eat in my auto. It's the sort of small, sweet sandwich one would get in France in mid morning or afternoon, in this case a combo of Black Forest ham (allegedly but seemed too thick and not smoky enough) Vermont cheese, toasted... I am definitely a chocolate lover, and while I enjoyed the chocolate bars I purchased I found the place overpriced. Still, service was wonderful and very helpful.

We visited this tiny little shop and found it delightful. Although it was on the main drag it was not easy to find as the sign is dark and not large. We were glad we persevered as the cold chocolate was very good and the brownie was exceptional. Would have had a second but it was a little pricy! I... More

Dancing Lion specializes in unique hand crafted chocolates. We sampled a few plus Mexican drinking chocolate; even our non-chocolate eater enjoyed. Chocolate ginger brownie was delicious. We didn't sample any of their other lighter fare. They can ship some of their artisan chocolate. Owner was great and answered our questions.

We walked by the restaurant and checked Trip Advisor on reviews. We returned the next morning to enjoy a simple breakfast. We are so used to fast food breakfasts, this restaurant put time and effort into the food preparation. Each bite of the breakfast sandwhich was sinfully amazing. Who would have thought to put a chocolate smack dab in the... More

We only had a hot chocolate but we never had a better one. It was absolutely divine. The owner travel all around the world to get the best cacao and you can taste the difference with others products usualy offer in chocolate places. It is a bit expensive but, in life, you usualy have to pay more for quality. Worth... More

Went for lunch and had bean tacos(5star). EVERYTHING is made with some chocolate, in the case of tacos it was milk chocolate in the tortilla as well as a subtle sauce. The owner and chef, Rich, came out towards the end of meal and displayed his extensive knowledge of chocolate as well as his extensive inventory of the World's best... More

We enjoyed the Dancing Lion's selection of chocolate upon our arrival to Manchester. The chocolate was very detailed and at times ornate. I enjoyed a chocolate croissant with an iced chocolate drink that was a little too strong for me but nonetheless very good. James enjoyed a sampling of four of their dark chocolate bites. Overall it was very good.... More

A delightful treat for lunch. Serves one choice a day but it was great. Hot chocolate (lite and dark were delicious. A small, beautiful and very friendly place.
