My Parents wife and I recently went to the Athen's Greek Restaurant in Manchester to celebrate the Dad's new car. He recommended it and off we went. We arrived at about 5:44, easily found paid parking in front of a light colored restaurant face with a bit of a run-down signt. Upon entering we found only one couple was inside... More

The place looks really shady from the outside (I'm not a big fan of inner-city, personally) but it is very nice on the inside. The people were really friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent! The portions are pretty large, so count on bringing some home, and definitely do not skip the stuffed grape leaves if you're into that... More

I frequent this restaurant Since I was 18 and I am now 57 years old and have frequently been to this restaurant. I now go with an 89 year old vet and see the new glasses and the new salt and pepper additions, that does not CUT it! The food is full o0f fat. I can not believe the amount... More

The food is great. Gigantic portions. It would be nice if the decor got updated. But I will keep coming back!

If you're going to the Verizon Arena in Manchester, or to the Center of NH for a meeting, this is an excellent place to go for lunch or dinner--just a couple of blocks, easy walking distance, from both places. Lots of choices of Greek food on the menu. The avgolemono soup (lemon, egg, soft rice) was delicious, the Greek salad... More

The roast lamb shoulder with garnish is wonderful. Moist tasty meat, comes with rice, potato, a variety of Greek vegetables. We like to ask for additional red sauce to compliment the meat. A nice glass of red house wine adds little in cost to meal, but you will not have any room for dessert so either share it or take... More

We have gone to the Athens many times over the years and it has been absolutely consistent! I am of Greek descent and I will tell you that the food here is almost as good as my Greek grandmother's (Yia Yia)! Both my wife and I had the egg and lemon soup and the roast lamb. The food came out... More

The Athens offers an incredible menu and warm, comforting service. I try to dine here each time I visit Manchester. Lunch is the best time here, as the lunch specials include a cup of yummy soup (Lentil, Bean, Chicken-Lemon, etc.). My favorite dish is the Roast Lamb with vegetables and Greek Potatoes. Absolutely stunning in every way. The Roast Lamb... More

The food here is really good, baked lamb, or lamb of any type is a priority. Dinners served with delicious rice/red sauce, stewed potatoes, spinach, endive, and other assortments. They have a dry Crete table wine which is awesome. Three stars is for the run down booths, and overall tacky atmosphere. You should also consider this area is a little... More
