We've stopped here before and were delighted that off season the place was still open on weekends. It was busy but we got seats right away and the waitresses are friendly and chatty. Typical diner menu, the diner itself is pure American and is limited on seating whereas some have built extensions on to seat extra people, this is one... More

We travel a bit and have always loved Diners. We'll try anyone, anywhere. When in the White Mountains however there is NEVER a better choice than the Sunny Day. It just sits there hidden away near Clark's Trading Post on US-3 waiting for more customers to stop by (open just Friday-Sunday in the "off" season). You'd do yourself a HUGE... More

This is a typical "old-school" diner... in fact, the menu has a story of the building and it came from the diner manufacturing company in NJ that makes all of the rail-car looking diners. This also means that there are roughly 6 booths and bar-style seating.... so be prepared for a wait- but it's worth it! The diner is cash... More

I knew I wanted to try this place the second I saw it. The old-school, classic diner from the 50's. I ordered breakfast food, as you should at a place like this. Coffee, good. Eggs, perfectly cooked over medium. Corned-beef hash, very tasty. I wish I ate breakfast here every day of our trip.

Great place for a good old-fashioned diner. The food was basic and hearty. The price is right, too. The only down side is that this is a cash-only diner, so no plastic here. So bring a little cash and enjoy. This is our new favorite breakfast place in the area!

We arrived on 9/28/14 on a fall foliage tour of New England. The owner of the hotel said the Sunny Day Diner was a good one for Sunday morning. Sure enough my wife and I pulled in to just find the last parking spot as someone pulled out. It was a true old fashion stainless steel diner from the '40's... More

We've been to a few "phantom gourmet" places, and they never seem to be very special. The servers were friendly, it was clean, and the food was okay. The portions are pretty small, especially for the price. The steak tips were bland, they tasted a little like pepper, but that was it. The French toast was pretty good, slightly undercooked....
