Weathervane is expensive and not a value in any way. Most all food is prepared fried. It seems like everything tastes the same. Helpings are large or the most part. It seemed to us that they are using lots of frozen or prepackaged ingredients but not certain of this. The place seems tired and past its prime and service was... More

Founder Bea would be turning over in her grave. I had the clam chowder and salad lunch. Nice portions. My wife's fried clams were perfect according to her, the french fries so-so. Now the clam chowder: I guess they were saving the clams for something else. Three or four chopped clam pieces were found among the massive amount of potatoes.... More

Chowder is the absolute best in the WORLD, especially the fish chowder. Located next to RT 89 and RT 91. Near Dartmouth College. Lots of stores nearby - BJ's, Walmart, many large chain food stores.

We went to the West Lebanon Weathervane, Sunday to celebrate my birthday. I love that each year I get a $10 birthday coupon to apply to the cost and I also had $10 earned on my Clawclub card which is also a perk. I had the baked stuffed haddock which was really good. It was a large serving. The stuffing... More

We eat in the Kittery Weathervane occasionally and have always loved the food and service. This location was no different even though I came with a bus load of travelers. Some had clam or fish chowder, one had scallops, I had clam strips, fried mushrooms, French fries. All left happy and full. Location, as does the one in Kittery needs... More

Understand this is a chain that serves predominately seafood - I can't vouch for anything but the fried food - which is solid. I have been several times and service has always been decent although my plate has sometimes stuck to the table or I've been handed a menu with some ketchup all over it. I can get past that... More

The service was great, the food, not so much. I ordered the fried sea scallops expecting large, fresh, battered or breaded scallops and instead received what appeared to be scallops from a frozen premade package, rather than made fresh in the restaurant. The breading came off of the scallop and was much like that on a frozen fish stick....not what... More

Spouse and I had dinner here with cousin who lived in area; cousin recommended the place. . The food was quite good and the nightly special ( 2 lobsters for $12.99) was a real bargain. I had broiled fish and it and the sides were excellent. We had to wait for service - even to make our pre meal bar... More

2 Lobster roll, 1 soda, excellent service by Virginia : $37.47 before tax and gratuities. Their Special of the day is usually their best deal. But $37.47 for 2 lobster roll and 1 soda is certainly too much.

food was ok, but I server was poor. He seemed to be bored with his job and wanted to go home. Not what we expected from the Weathervane.
