Late Night Truck Stop Breakfast

I grew up in the Upper Valley and had some 'late nights' (there may have been some drinking involved). My friends and I stopped in to 'The Fort' many a time to get some awesome late night food.

Met freinds here who recommended it. Big disappointment. Service horrible, food marginal and coffee had a tin taste. Waitress contaminated my GF meal by putting toast on top with no apology or replacement. Overpriced and crowded-not sure why.

Friendly servers with just enough sass. Diner counter for communal repartee, open tables with window views of big wheeler trucks swarming, and booths for intimate rendezvous'. Dislike: The HUGE glazed crullers were unreasonably yummy ;-) The coffee was annoyingly great and bottomless ;-) Omelet was submerged under delicious home-cut fries..

These guys over charged me $15.00 on my card. When I got home on 1/16/2015 and realized it, I called. They told me to come in and pickup the money but when I went in the waitress that clearly smokes too much ( Orange skin and raspy voice) told me my card had been credited by "Jeff" Well two bank... Huge breakfasts that are well made and cheap. My husband and I always share one. I don't know about the rest of the meals, but they are probably good too.

We have dined here many times. Originally, we found this location because we needed gas. We were very skeptical but our adventurous side and general curiosity had us try the Fort. We were pleasantly surprised. Now we stop at the Fort whenever we driving by Lebanon, NH coming back from a ski trip. This is a no frills place. Good... More

The Fort is a hidden little gem in the back of a truck stop/gas station off of Interstate 89 in Lebanon, NH. We stopped in for a late breakfast after medical testing at Dartmouth (which is right down 120) and it was delicious. Down home, comfortable foods that filled us up for the drive back home. My husband had "Papa's... More

Decided to try The Fort when we were in the area for my birthday weekend because its a 24 hour place. It took us a while to find it. You have to go through a convenience store to get to it. Stopped in late at night after the event we attended, and we just had pie. The server was great... More

This is a truck stop. Don't expect a classy atmosphere. What you get is a great homestyle meal at great prices. Generous portions, quick service. For a cheap on the run meal it can't be beat.
