The Fort is a hidden little gem in the back of a truck stop/gas station off of Interstate 89 in Lebanon, NH. We stopped in for a late breakfast after medical testing at Dartmouth (which is right down 120) and it was delicious. Down home, comfortable foods that filled us up for the drive back home. My husband had "Papa's... More

Decided to try The Fort when we were in the area for my birthday weekend because its a 24 hour place. It took us a while to find it. You have to go through a convenience store to get to it. Stopped in late at night after the event we attended, and we just had pie. The server was great... More

This is a truck stop. Don't expect a classy atmosphere. What you get is a great homestyle meal at great prices. Generous portions, quick service. For a cheap on the run meal it can't be beat.

Working for an ambulance service I stopped in there to have them make a quick sandwich. After waiting 20 minutes for my take out order the cashier came to me saying they lost my slip it'll be another 10 minutes. So while waiting the 10 more minutes and hearing the kitchen staff and wait staff arguing about my order it... More

This restaurant is located at a truck stop right off of Exit 18. It was recommended by the locals. Good hearty fare and friendly staff. I thought the prices were a little high but the portions were good.

We tried this again after skipping it for more than a year. While contisistency is usually a virtue, in this case it confirms our prior decision. We got seated immediately, and got our first coffee. Then we waited, and waited, for the waitress to return. Finally she came back, and we ordered a basic breakfast. Then we waited, for another... More

My wife picked up lunch here on 7/25/14 around 1:00 as she often does , and called me later ,quite upset . It appears that our long time patronage , and many recomendations as a good place for a bite was repaid by some kitchen goon and his friend making crude sexual gestures and laughing at my wife. This is... More

They give you a lot of food at very reaonable prices and with excellent service. It's a truck stop. Nothing fancy but nothing shabby either. More like a New England Diner. Love going there. Good choices.

I am originally from Lebanon NH. The Fort has had a few different names, but always great food. The wait staff is friendly and fast and any meal I have had there has always been good, especially breakfast. One of the only places in Lebanon to be able to get grits which I have grown to love, now living in... More
