I had the best dinner I've had in years at The Moonbeam Cafe last night. It was spectacular! The chef is a genius. The menu was so very interesting, the dishes very generous, and the prices reasonable. I don't know how they can do these complex dishes, sublime sauces, with magnificent ingredients for the prices they charge. This would be... More

Lovely, elegant in a simple way. Clean. Soothing low keyed music. We had breakfast/lunch on a Friday before leaf season. More breakfast choices than lunch. We arrived at lunch time and the choices are limited. Our meals were very good. However, I had the French toast with wine syrup and it was way too sweet. My husband had a breakfast... More

Spent a weekend in NH and came to the Moonbeam Cafe because of other reviews. I was expecting excellence but instead I found mediocrity. We had a group of 4, my daughter (8) ordered pasta with butter, she was ok with her food, but for the price WOW I would have expected a fancy meal. My father ordered a burger;... More

It was a great find on Main Street in Lancaster. Fun imaginative food. We had the Rabbit turnover for appetizer, delicious and tender, streamed clams clean and buttery in taste and "Lamb Stew" with delicious gravy and vegetables. Service was spot on answering several questions we had.

Thanks to so many positive reviews, I wanted to stop in while in town. We are a small family, so sometimes it's still possible to dine in the kind of restaurant I love (such as the Moonbean). We arrived tired, with our two and a half year old in tow, and entered a lovely little space of a restaurant. It... More

Up in the Whites finishing the last three of the four thousand footers with my daughter and we had a fantastic dinner at the Moonbeam Cafe. Best burger ever, didn't even think of opening the ketchup bottle and the sea bass was cooked to perfection with a wonderful chutney. Every aspect of dinner and service was filled with attention to... More

On our way home from vacation and unfamiliar with Lancaster, we stopped at the Moonbeam Cafe' for brunch on Sunday. What we thought was a small town diner turned out to be so much more than we expected. Clean, country, friendly, and sophisticated, the food was fresh and local. The menu offerings were creative, portions generous, and presented in gourmet... More

We tried the Moonbeam Cafe after reading a number of positive online reviews. We were not disappointed. The food is creative and sophisticated with interesting combinations and unusual menu items. We had the ravioli special and a fried Greek cheese appetizer, both were delicious. The sauce that came with the ravioli was so good we used bread to scoop what... More

A nice place right on Main street the Moonbeam Café uses local produce and meat so the menu is always in motion. I had a very good sweet potato corn chowder followed by a BBQ meatloaf sandwich (I ended up eating the 2nd half for dinner later). Not too expensive and I would definitely eat there again.

Everything at this place is hand-crafted, from the salad dressings to the bread and desserts, and of course the entrees themselves. Had the best salmon of my life here, and the husband thoroughly enjoyed his sea bass. Very kid friendly and a short drive from Mt View Grand. Will definitely be back should we head this way again!
