Found this place by accident. Looked interesting, so stopped. Best breakfast ever! The menu has everything a person could possibly want! You can even have homemade muffins for your "toast" choice with no extra charge! So good, we went back 2 days later, and were just as pleased.

This is a full service restaurant, near the Laconia Police Department headquarters, disguised as something of a diner. But they serve not only diner food but also dinner on some nights. The food and service have been excellent. Great diner food and more. Excellent omelets, great fresh fish and chips, great calorie-laden desserts, etc. Definitely worth a visit,

Googled breakfast restaurants while on April vacation with the kids. Found this place. Beautiful building, certainly no "greasy spoon". Clean, friendly staff and food was great. I will come back next time we're in town.

Moved out of the area after college and havent been here in years. Recently, a few buddies and I headed up and we had breakfast here. Nothing much has changed, still good breakfast food and good prices. It was busy so service took a bit of time but food was as tasty as I remembered!

After moving from the Lakes Region, over a year ago, we returned for a visit, and went to our favorite restaurant for lunch. Both the meat loaf dinner and turkey dinner were great. Quick and friendly service as always, with excellent prices. I have always highly recommended the Water Street Cafe for locals and visitors to the region.

The Water Street Café, recently completely rebuilt after a disastrous fire that destroyed the place, is spotless and serves very good food- 3 meals a day. Typical diner food plus expanded menu for lunch and dinner. Specials at night. Home make pies and pastries. Very close to the Laconia Police Dept so even though it is on a back street,... More

As part of our yearly Columbus Day weekend trip we had Sunday morning breakfast at the Water Street Cafe. This is around 10 straight years that we have made this trip. There was eight people in our group and the hostess aligned four tables so we could sit together. Most of us ordered omelets and I had the "Laker Omelet",... More

This is a cafe (in the truest sense of the word) with colonial furniture and matching decor. But it is one which is very welcoming with an exceptional staff. The food is good and worth a return.
