The title says it all as far as I am concerned. I have tried this tavern three times and each time was more disappointed than the last. Food was awful, but the people are nice.
Absolutely love the tapas style service where everyone in our party shared small bites. They have implemented this well. Cozy atmosphere with very friendly waitstaff. A nice wine selection and some rather interesting cocktail offerings. Great for couples, friends, and romance. We will be back again soon!
This is our favorite restaurant . . . period. We eat at Tav 27 at least once or twice a month. The tapas are out of this world - delicious, creative, and owner/chef Leslie is a genius in the kitchen. Even her pizzas are incredible and her desserts are sinful. Drinks are the best around, and owner Ray goes above... More
I can't rave enough about this quaint, cozy tavern. The food is outrageously creative and delicious. I took to long to write this and can't recall all that we had but I do recall the appetizer with dates. You simply can't go wrong as everything we had was delish. The inventive drink menu is sure to please as well. We... More
Rustic and quiet with excellent fresh food made right there at the Tavern. We had a few Tapas items to sample different flavors. The Tavern has an excellent vegan/vegetarian selection in addition to the normal American fare of steaks and chicken. I'm not a big meat eater so the Powerup Salad was fantastic. The fries were hand-cut and super fresh... More
I go the the Tav27 a lot... Call for reservation some times the are so busy it is in believable !!! The service is excellent... The owner is great. He sakes everyone if they are happy and demands the best food and service for his customers.. But if course the food is fantastic!! Why... Because the other owner is behind... More
There aren't a whole lot of great places to eat in the Lakes Region... or Laconia for that matter. Being a seasonal destination, many of the Lakes Region's restaurants can be extremely inconsistent. I can really only count on one hand the number of decent consistent restaurants that I frequently go to up here. The Tavern 27 is always excellent.... More
My wife and I dined at Tavern 27 for the first time last night. Terrific food, excellent service, live piano music, and reasonable prices--all in a comfortable, informal setting. What's not to like? The owner is front and center--really seems to care that the patrons are enjoying themselves. Not at all surprising that this is the top rated restaurant in... More
Leslie. the chef and owner, is a phenomenal cook. She truly cares about the quality and presentation of the dishes. Ray, her husband and "front guy" who manages the floor, is always personable and fun to converse with. The last time we were there, I had awesome vegetarian French onion soup. First time I was able to enjoy since I... More
I have been to Tavern 27 three times in the last year and every time as been great. The tapas menu is creative and generous so share with 4 to 5. They also incorporate local ingredients in their dishes such as the fish used. Their bread pudding is as good as what I have had in New Orleans. Their selection... More
