Surprisingly good

Stopped here for lunch recently, and was pleasantly surprised. Last time I was in here it was Bagel Works, and I don't recall any of the sandwiches/soups/panini/etc. I was in for a bit of a surprise - staff was friendly and welcoming, and they had a full selection of panini, sandwiches, soups, and... read more

We wanted a small cafe for coffee and brunch. The works is it! Friendly and fast service. Order at counter. Food was super fresh and delicious. Coffee is fresh and hot. Large selection from fresh bagels; eggs and artisan sandwiches.

The Works is my favorite breakfast place in Keene. Their bagels are always fresh and their sandwich menu has great choices. The coffee is unusual - not like any other coffee I've had, but very good. They've always got fresh fruit and fresh juice in the ice bin at the register.

The works is a decent place, and while I don't consider it a bakery, it is a good counter type sandwich & Bagel shop. Coffee is good, but I wouldn't say it's good for laptop loungers or students studying. I would say I'd go back. This is a place for Mom and the kids, or a Realtor hooking up with... More

The regulars probably like this place, although it would drain your wallet if you came often. For visitors like us, the layout is confusing, and it doesn't seem to occur to them to explain things. Like getting your own coffee, or finding the plastic forks. And they seemed impatient when we wanted to know what kind of hot teas they... More

This is a great place for a quick bite when you've got kids. The bagels and spreads were tasty and fresh, the coffee was good, and their brownies are delicious. Plus they use locally-sourced ingredients and they compost and recycle. What makes this place really great is their kids' seating area which has a family-style kids table, chalkboard, puzzles, and... My husband and I travel to the Keene area once or twice each year. We eaten at the Works a few times. It's a great place to have a semi-quick breakfast or lunch. With a casual atmosphere, including indoor and outdoor seating, and wifi connection, the Works advertises their organic ingredients. My husband and I each had breakfast sandwiches; mine... More

Had the clam chowder and it was amazing. They are a basic cafe. They have bagels, sandwiches, soups and more. They had good service. The prices were a little higher that expected, but still worth it. Good place to go if in Keene, NH.
