Excellent fudge, great breakfast

We (me, my wife, and our toddler) were on a trip with my sister, her husband and their two kids and were seated after about ten minutes. We walked around the gift shop while they cleaned our table, and tried some fudge (a MUST if you eat here). The cornbread was amazing, and everyone enjoyed... read more

It is just a typical breakfast place, and the food is good like home made cook. Service is good as well , but nothing to brag about. Jefferson is a very quiet place, so having WaterWheel for a place for breakfast is a nice thing to have.

While the food is good, make sure you have time to spare if going on a weekend. We made the mistake of going on a Sunday at about 7:30 am. While the wait for a table was about 15-20 minutes, placing our order was a different story. We called our waitress over so we could place our order only to... More

We had read good things about this restaurant. But if you visit on the weekend, be prepared to have breakfast take 1 1/2 hours. We waited 1/2 hour to be seated. The food did not arrive for another 35 minutes after being seated. We ended up taking it to go because we had somewhere else we needed to be. We... More

Wow... Where can I start! Greeted by the owner at the front door, the staff is amazing, hot good coffee poured immediately. The food is unbelievable and pricing is terrific. Had the MT. Washington... 3 Eggs, 3 Slices of French Toast (Texas Style) hash browns, home made corn bread and real maple syrup. Family members had the Jefferson 2 eggs,... More

Breakfast is great here. We've had the pancakes which are huge and the omelettes which are very tasty. The cornbread is delicious. I always get it. The service is good and the staff is friendly. I see more visits in the future.

We were just passing through late morning and decided to stop to breakfast - so glad we did. Not only was the service prompt & attentive - the breakfast was very good - but the highlight were the massive pancakes and maple syrup. Best restaurant pancakes I've had in a long, long time...

We came for lunch after long trip! Had great meals here last year. This we walked in 1.45 and owner told us we are to late. They closed at 2!!! She also mentioned that 3 tables are still waiting for food?! Hospitality zero!!! If you come to bank 15 min prior closing are they going to sent you away???

Excellent food. Lucky we got in before larger crowd. Right down the road from Santa's Village. Service was good but they needed more wait staff. Had to wait long time for second cup of coffee but the owner noticed and brought more.... LOL It was a great breakfast!

The Waterwheel has a great breakfast menu. Huge plate size pancakes with real NH maple syrup, huge omelets and home made corn bread. It has a nice little gift shop to browse while you wait for a table. It's a small dining area so there might be a wait but well worth it.
