We were recommended this venue as only staying for one night in a nearby hotel. We had a quick look at it during the day and decided it looked fine for an evening meal. We realised this establishment was a grill rather than any kind of fine dining, and that was just what we were after for one night. We... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by the owners of the cabin we rented. We appreciated the recommendation as the food was very good and the ambience was very charming. The portions were rather small for the price, but the food was good. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly. Even though we dined at an early hour,... More

We had to head over to Jackson from Intervale to go to the transfer station and thought we'd stop somewhere for a drink rather than heading straight back to the house. I googled "pub Jackson NH" and this place popped up. When we arrived we were so impressed with the decor and ambience as well as the super friendly staff... More

The setting is excellent & the service is very good...the food, however, was less than awesome this visit. It wasn't bad...just not what we have come to expect from this place. I really wish they would bring back the broccoli rabe...that was my most favorite thing that has ever been on their menu.

We went on a Thursday night. A friend had told us about the Thursday night special which is $39 for two entrees-choice of menu and a bottle of wine. The restaurant is charming in that it is an old barn built on many levels with twinkling lights and a real rustic feel. We were seated in what I believe was... More

We went there for an meal on a Saturday night. We were shown to a table immediately and sat down to enjoy the excellent live band (Dusty Gray). Service was quick, efficient and friendly. We had Chicken Pot Pie and Lamb Shank followed by Strawberry Cheesecake and Blueberry Pie. All the food was delicious and very much enjoyed. Housed in... More

From the rustic interior, kind staff and excellent food we were all happy! Our 4 yr old "loved" his mac n cheese (there must be a secret ingredient!). My husband had the shrimp scampi pizza app and I went nuts over the blackberry bbq ribs. ..everything was perfect for us! We look forward to returning

This was our first time at this Pub. It was a Sunday night. There was entertainment which we enjoyed very much. Service and good were excellent. We will definitely be returning our next trip to the area.

I reviewed my sister's wedding under the Whitney Inn, but the reception was held at their adjoining Shovel Handle Pub. Beautiful, rustic pub with fantastic food and service. It's set up on multiple levels with lots of stairs, so make sure this is ok for you and your guests.

My wife and I had dinner there last weekend. What a great, New England pub! It is in an old barn with the exposed beams and planks. I had the chicken Quesadillas and my wife had the haddock sandwich. both were excellent. The prices were very reasonable. Our server was attentive and friendly. They had a local singer there who...
