Fabulous German food

We have been here several times and it is always a treat! The food is hearty and well-prepared, the beer on tap genuine and the people surrounding us enjoying themselves.

Last year, I gave Bavaria 4 out of 5. Ambiance is a big part of the dining experience. The food there was still wonderful, and every person at our table loved what they ordered, but it was almost impossible to enjoy dining at Bavaria because it was sweltering hot there. I'm not talking about slightly warm. I'm talking mid-90's, both... More

We took our brother-in-law for his birthday. He is of Bavarian descent and has raved about this place. The outside is deceiving--once inside you have great atmosphere and are very well taken care of by the wait staff and owners. Our 11 year old amazed us by ordering the goulash soup and the schnitzel wiener art. "Best meal ever" was... More

German restaurants are few and far between in the Northeast, and perhaps it is just as well. As someone who has spent a good deal of time in Germany, loves the country, culture, and cuisine, and speaks the language fluently, I have more often than not been disappointed by most German restaurants in the United States, even those run by... Have been here on a few different occasions, small restaurant of about 60 seats plus a small bar seating area. Food is very consistent, beer (Spaten, Franziskaner) is the drink of choice here, wine is limited and small portions. Everything is a la carte and you pay for substitutions. I would go here more frequently but for the above. They... More

If I hadn't a GPS, I wouldn't have found this restaurant as it is off the road in a business complex .Since German restaurants are scarce, and we enjoy German fare, we made the trip and were delighted with everything. The minute you walk in, the place screams, "IMMACULATE" There was only one woman serving all tables, but she gave... More

The limited menu lists all very authentic dishes in original language, which brings a touch of old Europe nostalgia to support the stark simple decor and surroundings in the restaurant. The price point is a little high, compared to what some of these dishes would cost even in Europe, (which is known to be expensive in the first place) but... More

This restaurant is hidden in the back of Granite Hills Center in Hooksett NH, BUT what a find! The food is true authentic German cuisine. Everything is made to order and delicious. From the appetizers to the main course and the desserts. Have an appetite when you go here. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. Reservations are recommended. ENJOY

We are having a family reunion here next month and with the variety of foods there is something to appeal to all ages. Although the restaurant is small, you do not feel crowded. There are lovely carvings and kitchen items on the walls. The food is excellent and plentiful and the ambiance is calming.

This is not your run-of-the-mill dining experience. We had heard wonderful things about Bavaria, so we called to make a same-day reservation and were informed that we were VERY lucky because someone had cancelled. The severe woman on the phone instilled a sense of fear and dread in me like you wouldn't believe, but we went anyway. I'm glad we... More
