Back to Germany!

There are so many nice things about this restaurant. It is very attractive in an authentic way, the staff is attentive and knowledgable and the menu is inviting. On the downside, the restaurant is very small and, from experience, all but impossible to get in to without a reservation and you'd... read more

Schweins Hax'n feast on Saturday evening; I promise you that that will not happen again at those prices, but was like the beer haus food in Munich. That particular German specialty is definitely worth having, but not more than once a year. Most of the food is not cooked to Deutsch standards. But I do like the trashy look of... More

My husband and I love Munich and were looking forward to finding a good local German spot. The space is nice, if not a bit bright for dinner. Service was prompt and friendly. The food was rather bland and disappointing. The best part of the meal was the draft beer and apple strudel. As others have mentioned, it is quite... More

No question, this place rocks authentic tastes to their food. But it his Beer Hall food. Think large picnic tables with people sharing a great time. Drive around to the back of the complex, there are signs to direct. They now do lunch on the weekends. We had watched a movie at the nearby Cineplex so drove down to have... More

I agree with the general reviews fantastic restaurant. However I worked for a Swiss Company for 33 years. If this restaurant was in Germany or Switzerland I would still give it 5 stars. It is truly in class of its own. Last time I had to personally thank the chef.

My wife and I love German food but are used to not having any good German restaurants in the area. Usually you take what you can get, and sometimes the food is just average. But Bavaria is authentic, owned by real Bavarians, and the food is authentic and superb. If you want great sausages, potato pancakes, sauerkraut, Spätzle, and all... More

Friends had recommended this delightful neighborhood restaurant but failed to mention "Be sure to make a reservation!" We didn't and the place was fully booked. Since everything looked and smelled marvelous we decided to order a take-out meal and split it. The hostess estimated a 20 minute wait. Exactly 20 minutes later we were leaving with our nicely packaged Veal... More

My husband and I drive from Massachusetts to eat here once a month or so. The owners are professionals from Germany and provide an authentic experience of a German Lokal. Food is very well prepared, and specials are indeed quite special! Service is very good. Prices are above average but the food quality is worthwhile.

If you live in the area and you haven't been to Bavaria, then you need to call to make a reservation now, because sometimes this place is so busy that you might have to wait several days to get in. But it is so worth it! I have been to Germany several times and this is as authentic as it... More

Nice place to go during October- my husband enjoys the wheat beers. The food is good but pricey as everything is alla carte. It's a pleasant atmosphere with European music softly playing in the background, but the restaurant can be a little challenging to find.
