We ate here for my birthday celebration. The food is delicious and presented beautifully. The restaurant is high priced, but, for a special occasion it is very nice. The tornadoes of beef were cooked perfectly and came with potatoes and veggies. They brought me a decorated plate with chocolate covered strawberries and a birthday treat. This is in an old... More

The setting is unique in this part of the country: an elegant room, unique decor, lots of fine woods, wall coverings and beautiful place settings. Extensive menu with local beef, unusual and familiar fish and vegetarian options. Even gluten free bread is offered! Food was well prepared with innovative salads, tasty sirloin and excellent swordfish. Prices for food are higher... More

This restaurant is located within the Manor On Golden Pond, a hillside inn overlooking Squam Lake (where the movie of the same name was filmed). This was a first visit for a group of 5 couples who annually get together for the Labor Day weekend. The inn is affiliated with Small Luxury Hotels and Select Registry, so we had high... More

The food was top notch and the service relaxed yet unobtrusive. Made out stay at the Manor on Golden Pond well worth the long drive.

Everything we ordered was pure perfection! Seasonal menu with wonderful touches! The breakfast was consistantly good every morning, and the dinners were cooked to perfection. I loved trying different takes on dishes, like pork with a puree. Delish!

Valentine's Dinner in the Van Horn Dining Room at the Inn on Golden Pond was one the top dining experience we've ever enjoyed. This is our third visit to the Inn and each experience has been top notch. We chose the Chef's Tasting for Two, a seven course dinner highlighted by the best chateaubriand ever tasted. The Inn boasts a... More

We had dinner there to celebrate our anniversary. When I called to make the reservation, I was asked if there were any dietary restrictions. I said that I was a vegetarian and the owner told me that the chef would create a vegetarian meal for me. I was totally surprised to be told a 7 course tasting menu had been... More

My wife chose this restaurant for our wedding anniversary dinner. She couldn't have chosen better! The room is absolutely lovely, as is the entire inn. Lots of dark wood paneling, blazing fire in a huge fireplace, beautiful decorations. Perfect for a romantic dinner. We selected the Prixe Fixe tasting menu and were presented with seven delicious and inventive courses. The... More
