We eat here whenever we visit New Hampshire. The food is excellent and the service is always top-notch. The drab cakes are my favorite. The soups and salads are great, too. The lovely view of the river adds to the dining experience.

You must try the strawberry salad, it's to die for. We also had the salmon and haddock which were both excellently cooked. The service was efficient and friendly. Highly recommended.

The river view is absolutely amazing. Such a beautiful setting! The menu is pretty big. I ordered a french sandwich and my partner ordered a Mediterranean wrap. Both sandwiches came with chips and a pickle. Our waitress was nice, and checked on us a few times. They had a good selection of beer. We tried one from the local brewery... More

The best thing about Daniel's is it's back deck which sits above the Contookook River. It looks out over the double stone bridge and New England College's campus. I've never had good luck with the food here so when the sun warms New England and the evenings are long, this is a pretty spot to sit back and enjoy a... More

Daniel's is not fancy and not a foodie heaven but it does have a nice view of the river, a friendly and efficient wait staff and is one of the few places for a meal when traveling route 9 from Concord to Keene. Our visit was early afternoon on a Sunday and things were just settling down after a busy... More

We had an excellent meal at Daniel's in a lovely atmosphere and great service. Our waitress was very friendly with constant top ups of delicious homemade Lemonade. This is not a "fancy" restaurant but everything was tasty and satisfying.

We have been occasional diners at Daniel's for 25 years, and for the last five years we have had dinner there at least three times annually, each time hoping that the diappointment of our prior visit was an anomaly. Unfortunately, below average seems to be what we get each time we go. This last visit my wife ordered a green... More

I have been to Daniel's four times now. It's a good place to go for a burger and a beer (preferably on the back deck overlooking the river). However, there is hardly anyone else in there anytime I go, so I'm weary about ordering anything more. I did have the calamari though, and it was just Ok.

This is not fine dining but the menu is varied, prices reasonable and the food very acceptable. The staff were helpful and the views of the river added to an overall enjoyable visit. we did not have to wait for our drinks order to be taken but if we had it would have been a pleasure to just sit and... Let me preface this by saying the only reason I am giving this place two stars is because the food is really good once you actually get it. Our dining experience started off on the wrong foot right away as we had to wait about 5 minutes after being seated before our server came over to get our drink order.... More
