Interesting dishes and excellent service

First off, the servers went above and beyond. The waitstaff and host and hostess made us feel so at home after a weary walk in the cold with four adults and four tired and hungry kids (two babies which were held and fawned over by staff). Offers like spaetzle and root vegetables, a skate... read more

I used to think this restaurant was over-rated but they've finally won me over. Much better than Pine across the street, both in food quality and service. They have good variety on their menu, with icons marking a good selection of vegetarian, gluten-free, and vegan options. One thing to note is that they regularly have live music. That can be... My husband & I are great cooks. We eat out fairly often. It was a pleasant experience to eat at The Canoe Club. It met every criteria. 👍👍👍

I must admit I know one of the owners so I may be biased but I don't believe so. It's consistently good food in a great environment with helpful, cheerful staff and live music! Good local food vibe and great cocktails. Besides regular tables also has some cool couches for some great socializing/relaxing. Please have the fries!

We ate here twice over a four day stay in Hanover. Two couples and everyone loved what they had each night. Food is fresh well prepared and the service is excellent. We were lucky to be there Monday night when Marko the magician was performing. He was truly amazing and we all thought it was a great thing for a... More

We had our family of 6 with a reservation for 6pm. The table available was near the entrance door and since it was a cold evening, every time someone entered or exited we got a strong cold breeze. Such greatly detracted from our enjoyment. We asked about being moved to another table but such could not be accomodated. The food... More

Great squash soup and a pretty decent burger. Decor is very quaint and location quit convenient. A college hangout.

We have eaten here several times, although this is my first review. The Canoe Club is a warm and inviting restaurant, with live music. There is an extensive craft beer list, and a very good wine list. We find the food to be very well prepared, priced reasonably. Service has also been consistently very good and friendly.they use many locally... More

New to the area, we were headed to Molly's where it was crowded and loud, so we turned back to the Canoe Club. It has a great atmosphere, more sophisticated without being stuffy, and we could have a comfortable, private conversation. Our drinks were good, and the burger with greens was the best tasting I have had in a long... More

Ambiance is nice. Lively and cozy. Service was fine, especially considering how busy it was. Appetizer kale salad was garnished and seasoned well. The big big disappointment was the lamb ragu. I can't imagine that much thought was put into this dish. I was expecting it to be served with some type of pasta, perhaps pappardelle as ragu often is.... More
