Good stuff

Service varies but is never horrible and there are a few wonderful folks who work there who really care. Coffees always good. House masala chai using honey. Housemade chai marshmallows are not to be missed

We stopped in to pick up lunch for our drive home from Dartmouth college. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had sandwiches and dessert. Both were very good and enjoyed them.

Great place for breakfast and lunch. Really enjoyed the sandwiches. The spinach croissant was amazing.

I have been visiting Dirt Cowboy since 2000, and always visit when i'm in the area. The coffees and selection was always great. Sadly this time we were served coffee in a cardboard cup - what happened to the reusable cups? Likewise if you're expecting the cafe to actually stay open the hours it advertises then think again - despite... More

Sorry for your disappointment during your last visit... but it really must have been at least 2 months ago. 2014 was a very tough year for us. The paper cups were a temporary necessity due to dishwasher problems. The hours were reduced as we focused on proper training and getting the cafe back onto solid ground. We have been back... More

Marshmallows, whipped cream, perfect for our visit on a chilly 5 degree (f) day. We earlier had had a breakfast with hot chocolate at an other (unnamed) famous place right across the street. After chatting up the waitress at the competitor, she chirped "yes we get a lot of compliments, must be the powder mix we put in the machine".... More

Lovely place with many smoothie, coffee, tea and food options. Very friendly staff. You can design your own smoothie. It's a great place to sit and watch the happenings on the green.

Dirt Cowboy bake their own pastry, and it's consistently very good, from plain butter croissants to lighter-than-air vol-au-vents. Esspresso and its derivatives are reliably good too. The individually made drip-filter coffee is a hit or miss. The interior however needs not only a good refresher, but a major redesign to become a clean, cozy and inviting space…

There are almost too many coffee options to choose from! I had no clue where to start, but luckily they had descriptions of each bean flavor on the wall. I went to the Dirt Cowboy three days in a row and my favorite brew was the Ethiopia Harrar. As someone who is lactose intolerant, I appreciated that the baristas were... More

Great coffee. Delicious pastries. Soooo long line (and the waiting time that goes with it). If your Lucky and the line is "limited" Inside the shop, go ahead and enjoy ! Has a couple tables outdoor (weather permiting ; )

This is not complicated -- the Dirt Cowboy is the best place in Hanover for coffee and what goes with coffee.
