This is a diner in a college town where we stopped for lunch. It had what seemed to be wholesome ingredients, but none of the food was particularly notable. We had heard raves about the breakfasts and expected better. Each item we sampled (3) was bland and lacked seasoning. Service was cordial, but rather slow for the typical diner. It... More

You can always tell a breakfast spot by the size of its line and Lou's line was pretty long but well worth the wait. The diner has all the regular breakfast items you'd want but unlike most places of its ilk, it is not greasy and we felt good after our omelets and hash. We'll be back here for sure.

Arriving in Hanover before check-in time, we headed for Lou's for a quick lunch. For a diner-type restaurant, the food was good and the price was reasonable. The service, however, was somewhat slow. If you want this kind of establishment, it deserves four stars. If not, not.

We were there a year ago and stopped again a couple of days ago.. The waiting line was short this time as we were early on Friday of Labor Day weekend. Last year there was a long wait. A long wait typically means good food etc. It is the case here as well. A great variety of breakfast offerings, huge... More

Visited for breakfast and everyone was happy. Husband had best corn beef hash ever. Son tried the cruller French toast which was excellent. They substituted for me because of a food allergy. Sadly, coffee was watery. Other than that I would rate Lou's as excellent.

so many reviewers think this place is miraculous. but i find it uncomfortable (it's always packed, long lines are common, tables are VERY close to each other. even sitting at the counter, the stools are, or at least seem, closer together than typical diner counter seating). i ordered a ham omelet. it was huge, yes, but so over-cooked as to... We went there for lunch and went back for breakfast the next day! The home fries are amazing, the eggs are huge, the sausage was tasty and the salmon very fresh. The variety of muffins was great and they were served warm and fantastic. We love breakfast in our family and the only thing disappointing about this place is that... More

Breakfast at Lou's is heaven. The corned beef hash is really good. We loved the omelets and cruller french toast as well as the mile high apple pie and yummy desserts. Do not count calories here. Go for a milkshake!

Lou's has the best breakfast and dinner you could want! The corned beef hash is amazing as are the omelets and sandwiches. The baked goods rival any bakery you can find. The servers are all top notch as well. Be sure to go. PB

My son and I were touring Dartmouth, and we really needed a chance to just sit and grab a bite. Happened on this place, and we're glad we did! The staff was friendly and cheerful, and the place was hopping. We were there for a late breakfast of sorts - I had two slices of French toast and my son... More
