On all 3 visits I had a similar experience: hard edge, noisy atmosphere, superb service, good, if overpriced, food in tiny portions. As my dining partner said "when I go to a restaurant I don't want to be put on a diet." And we are 2 slim women not interested in Big portions! Excellent desserts. (You'll need one.). What a... Prior to a Pat Metheney concert at the Hopkins Center at Dartmouth College, we decided to try something other than long-time standbys Molly's and Salt Hill Pub. On a whim we walked into Market Table and couldn't have been happier. We had a nice mixed greens salad, one of the best hamburgers we ever had, two very nice by-the-glass wine... More

I liked the Caesar salad. I thought the shaved Parmesan was a clever change from grated Parmesan. I wish they had draft beer.

Our table of 4 with reservations - we arrived and were promptly seated. Out able was set with 4 sets of silverware, 3 drinking glasses and zero napkins. Th waitress was in a hurry, we asked for more time to review the brunch menu. She returned, we paced our order and asked for the 4th water glass and napkins. She... More

We both ate in (lunch) and had take out (part of a picnic supper). The food is quite good, and reasonably priced. The dining space, being somewhat spartan, is perhaps not best suited for a special occasion.

Market Table serves excellent food, with friendly (albeit spotty) service. Lunches and Dinners are top-flight cuisine, and the only smidgen of a gripe is that the acoustics tend to impede conversation. But breakfast is a true delight. Whether you're just looking for a pastry, lingering alone over the morning paper, or getting together for a lengthy business chat, this is... More

We had dinner and then went back for breakfast it was so good. The food was fresh, well cooked and seasoned and had a lot that vegetarians could eat. The service was excellent. One of the best meals I had in the States this summer.

Thoughtfully created food with fresh local ingredients. The chef cooks with a light, skillful hand--seasonings bring out the best in high quality materials and everything was cooked well. Salmon with gazpacho sauce was perfectly cooked and sauce complemented the fish. Mushroom risotto was creamy but not mushy with wonderful favor. Baked Alaska dessert with vanilla ice cream, raspberry and meringue... More

We went to market table for a quick lunch but also ended up coming back for dinner, this busy little restaurant is quaint and tasty.service for dinner was slow but understandable how busy they we're.I'd rather wait for good food done right than poor food quickly.we will certainly try again when in town
