A relaxed and informal place. The sushi and sashimi were excellent .Ordered the bulgogi pork with the spicy sauce which was welcomingly hot (not for all) with accompaniments .Bibimbap delicious as was fried Goyza. Staff friendly and quick and when I only got one chopstick in the paper pack..."must be made in China" showed they are also quick witted. If I... More

An informal, quality, great value restaurant. The service is friendly and efficient. We have made it a regular stop on my Friday commute from New York. The sushi is solid, not the most spectacular or high end we have had, but fresh and delicious. Highly recommend the Bibimbap... absolutely outstanding with the crust at the bottom and all. A young... Too bad. Yama's small restaurant in nearby West Lebanon, NH. opened with a flourish some years ago. There were interesting Korean specialties, wonderful ad changing varieties. The small plates were always wonderful treats. Since the Hanover location opened the restaurant has become disappointing. It's a huge restaurant now, too many tables. Too big and impersonal of a space. The food... More

Yama is the family favorite. Any reason to go: birthday, lunch with friends, even take out as a treat! The Hanover location is definitely superior to the Lebanon one for ambiance and service. The sashimi is fresh and perfectly sliced and the variety of rolls always makes for some fun decisions. Standard fare is equally reliable. Our highest recommendation for... More

We were particularly impressed with the speed at which the food was delivered, enjoyed our entrees very much, and were pleasantly surprised with fair prices.

I might have to become a regular at this place! Great prices and everything is delicious. You're also greeted with small dishes of free and yummy appetizers. They're simple, but so much fun to start the meal with- and did I mention they're FREE. Things like spicy bean sprouts and broccoli, potato, and cucumber salad. Next I ordered a special... More

The Yama Restaurant in Hanover is the sister location of the Yama in West Lebanon. The food at both is quite good. The restaurant in Hanover is definitely upscale in comparison to the West Lebanon location. Prices, though, seem to be about the same. The Hanover location serves lots of Korean dishes, as well as Japanese offering, including sushi. We've... More

The lunch bento is a great deal, and I love that you can actually get decent Asian food in this tiny town. Service generally good though if they get busy, they WILL actually ask you to leave. I can understand it, but it's funny to have it happen.

Service is always prompt. My Asian student guests recently enjoyed it, including a Vietnemese dish, and pronounced our entire meal authentic. We always include Yama, and Hanover, in our guests itinerary. Casual, and public parking is across the street.

Our 2nd trip to Hanover and having a great experience at Yama the first time, two years ago, we had to try it again. The food was just as good. We're not connissours but find Yama to be good place for sushi.
