Great food at reasonable price

This is the second year that we've been to this restaurant. And we made it a point to come back here since last year's visit. They have good food - I love their escargot; nice, tender and buttery. Nice ambience; food is filling and delicious, good portion, service is great, too.

It has been a few years since we have been back to the Old Salt. I remember when this restaurant was on the strip on Hampton Beach before that building burned down, and they moved to the Rte 1 location. But - the food is fresh, the atmosphere is friendly, and for large events (Easter), they are packed.

One of favorite spots in Hampton beach! We've been here many times and always get a great meal. Make sure you make reservations it gets full quickly.

We dined at this restaurant after being recommended by our hotel. We were a party of 8 and felt like we were there for eternity. Our waitress was super friendly but everything was slow. In there defense, it was a saturday night but the lag time between appetizers and meals was ridiculous. Food was just ok and I didn't think... More

This is the worst restaurant I have ever been to. The "seafood " was awful. My wife ordered a salad with salmon. The salad itself was okay, but the salmon was very dry and overcooked. My daughter ordered a salmon burger combo platter. The salmon pattie looked like it was in a freezer for weeks. It was very dry and... More

Been here a number of times, really like the atmosphere, service and food. But not last Saturday night. My wife and I both had mixed dishes, as I had baked lobster pie and prime rib, she had steak tips and scallops. Both with same results, as the seafood was served piping hot and overcooked, and the meat dishes were served... More

Short drive from Hampton Beach, large restaurant with lots of seating, reservations are accepted. Outdoor seating was nice, but next to a busy road and intersection so loud at times. Heaters placed on the patio fought off a slight chill. Large drink menu with many different cocktails and a good selection of draft beers. Service was good but not great,... More

I've been eating at the Old Salt for the past 30 years which tells you what I think of it. Great food, great, service, and great atmosphere. Love the Sunday Brunch. Usually make it a regular eating place for special day such as Mothers Day, Birthdays, anniversaries, etc. kids love the Sunday Brunch with the chocolate fountain.
