A friend recommended Old Salt to me. Lots of parking, cozy warm atmosphere. Large menu. Good burger. Hit the spot for us and the kids. Service was great. I'd eat here again if I am in the area.

Four of us sat in the bar. Started with nachos that were very nice fresh pick on top. Had a great sandwich and the staff was very friendly.

Short evaluation. Woodman's and the Clam Box in Ipswich MA., step aside. We love fried clams, and respect the previously mentioned establishments. People that like them for fried clams will love the Old Salt. We do!

This is just a wonderful atmosphere overall, the brunch buffet is fabulous. I think its pretty pricy but if you want a splurge and great food, go here!

Had lunch at The Old Salt in Hampton NH today. Atmosphere was amazing with a warm crackling fire in the fireplace and lots of character in the dining area. It was fairly crowded even though it was a cold snowy day. Food was very good and service was great. I was worried the place would be pricey but there were... More

Our party of three had the lobster Mac and cheese, lobster roll/salad, my son couldn't decide and ordered both the broiled lobster and sirloin tips. Our meals were delicious and the service was very friendly and quick. The place is decked out very New England-y, and there was even a real fire going in the fire place. We dropped in... More

not a great restaurant....it is old ...like the name suggests.....very ordinary place....service is just ok....hostess was not there when we arrived and a server tried to place us ....not an easy choice for the server...it took a few minutes just to service.....and it went downhill from there

Sorry. This place is so close to where I now live. I looked forward with great anticipation to enjoying their Sunday brunch with visiting friends...it comes SO HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and RATED!............Something was missing. First, after making a reservation, we were told we had to wait; second, we switched tables 3/4 times (the booths, which I usually love, must go back... More
