Food is good; wait staff very good

Ate in the bar, and the menu has enough variety for everyone. The wait staff is very good and attentive. While we don't frequent here, you can tell the staff knows the regulars and the banter is friendly. One of the few places you can a Dogfish Namaste on tap. Would recommend.

Heard the brunch here was good and I was not disappointed. There are tables and tables of all kinds of fresh and delicious foods being prepared and served right there. There are too many things to begin naming them all but I went up three times. Everything I ate was great and I highly recommend this to anyone with a... More

Fast, efficient service. Clam baskets and fish and chips were above average. Large chicken salad was poorly presented with very tough chicken. Would return if in the area again

You will not leave here hungry!!! Wonderful variety of breakfast and lunch items on the buffet, the tortellini and shrimp and haddock with lobster sauce were a favorite. Amazing desserts too, including a chocolate fountain.

The Old Salt never disappoints. Tell the staff here what you want, how you want it and they'll make sure you get it. Whether you are visiting or local regular, The quality and the variety in their choice of entrées will satisfy most everyone.

We live right down the road and my husband and I go every few weeks. The staff are awesome and the food is always consistently good. I've lived in town for five years and I've never had a bad meal at The Old Salt! The seafood dinner specials or surf and turf are always amazing and if you're looking for... More

It does have a fun bar atmosphere, and very friendly waitstaff. But the food was average. Certainly nothing special. Not bad, just not anything special. Plenty of choices on both the cocktail and food menu's. I would go back, for a casual night out, but not if I were looking for a really nice dinner.

The onion rings were excellent, as was the Reuben. Sunday brunch was delightful. Wasn't a quiet place, more of a fun atmosphere. There is a patio outside which is nice, but it's right on the busy, main road.

...that's about the end of our praise. We are local and have considered going to The Old Salt many times. On this Sunday afternoon, we finally stopped in, but were disappointed. First off, the food: We got the clam chowder and haddock chowders. Both were good. The clam chowder was exceptionally thick, so be warned. Three rolls were served with... More

This is quaint comfortable new England style restaurant. We were recommended this restaurant by the staff at the ships inn hotel. The food was good and the fireplace was much needed on our February evening visit,
