Our party of three had the lobster Mac and cheese, lobster roll/salad, my son couldn't decide and ordered both the broiled lobster and sirloin tips. Our meals were delicious and the service was very friendly and quick. The place is decked out very New England-y, and there was even a real fire going in the fire place. We dropped in... More

not a great restaurant....it is old ...like the name suggests.....very ordinary place....service is just ok....hostess was not there when we arrived and a server tried to place us ....not an easy choice for the server...it took a few minutes just to service.....and it went downhill from there

Sorry. This place is so close to where I now live. I looked forward with great anticipation to enjoying their Sunday brunch with visiting friends...it comes SO HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and RATED!............Something was missing. First, after making a reservation, we were told we had to wait; second, we switched tables 3/4 times (the booths, which I usually love, must go back... More

The Old Salt is liking eating in your grandparents home. After all, President Eisenhower ate there. We stopped in for lunch New Year's Eve and enjoyed a nice leisurely meal in a warm room served by nice staff. The menu features comfort food, well prepared and very tasty. If you are in the area, stop in. It is perfect for... More

The Old Salt has been our "go to" restaurant for a quick, friendly, consistently good meal for more than 15 years. Whether we sit in the lounge area or the dining room, with family or friends, or just my husband and I, we can depend on quality food and friendly service. Their fried seafood is definitely their specialty, as is... More

The food was great, the restaurant was nice, the price was high, but expected. The staff was attentive, the bar looked cool and over all it was a decent place to stop.

Went to the Salt based on tripadvisor reviews. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent. I had a fried seafood dish, and the rest of the fam tried the turkey pot pie (huge portion with flaky crust) and beef stew in a bread bowl. All agreed that the food was yummy, and a good value. The server was friendly,... More

We stayed at Lamie's Inn and ate every morning and evening at The Old Salt. We had dinner in the dining room, delicious seafood, nachos in the lounge, also excellent, Thanksgiving dinner was superb, and every morniig continental breakfast was complimentary. We also had drinks in the lounge. We would definitely return when in the area.
