Inconsistent food and high prices have sent this business back to an empty lot just off 101. Food was always marginal and extremely expensive.

I have driven past this restaurant a thousand times (literally) and had never stopped to eat until some friends invited us to join them there. The dining area is mainly open and there is enough space between tables that you are not sharing the next tables entree. We shared a couple of appetizers, the Calamari and Mozzarella, good but not... A great place with a huge open dinning area right off of the bar. Good friendly service and excellent entree's. I had the scallops special and the peanut butter desert both were awesome selections. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the Hampton, NH area.

We ate at the bar and ordered 4 items off the bar menu. Service was on the slow side even though it was a weeknight and not busy. We had "slow roasted meatballs" 4 on the plate. Nothing special at all. And they were barely warm. Kind of room temp. "Crispy mozzarella balls" (3) on a slice of roasted tomato.... More

I have always thought the dining room at Bonta was one of the loveliest anywhere. It is elegant and intimate, with its use of wood, paints walls and the charming fireplace in the middle of the room. We have had mixed feelings about the food, and on this visit were completely dissatisfied. We began with an antipasto, which was heavy... More

I write this with mixed emotions and wish I could have given a better rating. After years of wanting to try Bonta, I finally had my chance for my birthday this year. We had 7:30 reservations on a Friday and showed a half hour early; to our surprise we were sat immediately. The staff is friendly and our waiter (Jeremy)... More

This was the 4th or 5th visit we've made to Bonta. An excellent--and I'm using the word advisedly--restaurant relative to the area. Food, service, atmosphere all strong. My wife always has the fish and she's extremely fussy about freshness, and Bonta is her favorite restaurant. The place is not inexpensive, but, simply stated, it's worth it.

Wonderfully trained staff! Very VERY clean. Pleasant atomosphere. We appreciated the manager coming to our table and checking on us! The food was beyond delicious! I had the Pan Seared Scallopd.. which were incredibly fresh! The sauce was to die for. Definitely coming back!

Bonta is trying to be an Italian restaurant with modified menu. The atmosphere is outstanding. Lighting is beautiful, muted decor and an inviting staff in formal attire, the expectation of a five-star meal was soon to be diminished. The waitress was pleasant but not that attentive. She did not call attention to any of the restaurant's specialties, neither explained the... More
