big city quality in a small town,

Libby's is an oasis of fine dining in an area dominated by mom and pops. To say its a good restaurant considering the area it is in would not be doing it justice. If this restaurant was in Boston or New York it would still have 5 star reviews and would be rated somewhere in the top 50 restaurants... read more

We've been here several times now and if you're thinking of going on the week-end, make reservations in advance. The décor is eclectic and pleasant. The menu changes frequently, but it offers something for everyone. Entrees are creative and very tasty. They also will work with you to serve what you like, it available. Prices are very reasonable. If you're... More

We had 2, yes 2, wonderful meals here. We stayed over 30-45 miles from the restaurant and heard about this place and had to check it out. On the first night we shared the entree duck ravioli as an appetizer that was just delicious!!! We shared a salad and both got gnocchi with salmon. Talk about homemade...the gnocchi was fresh... One of the best restaurants in New England. Period. You will like it all: food, choice, atmosphere, owners. You MUST try it, you will not be disappointed! I just wish Libby's was in our neck of the woods!

I ALWAYS eat at SAALT when I come to Gorham. The menu is unusual and the food is extraordinary. It's always hard to know what to order as I want everything. We shared several appetizers, an Italian bread and cracker plate with olive tapenade, Tuscan chutney and a killer pesto cheese spread. A spring pea soup that tasted like the... More

Gotham is one of New Hampshire's best kept secret for foodies. The food at Libby's was incredible. The bread and dips appetizers was tasty and a great start to our meal. I had lamb and pork meat balls with asparagus and potatoes. I enjoyed every bite! From the drinks to the food and service, it was an increadable meal and... More

With a second home in northern NH, we frequently find ourselves looking for a quality dinner in a casual, unpretentious setting. We have frequented Libby's for years and each time Liz outdoes herself. This Valentine's day was no exception. From bread to soup to entrees, the 4 course prix fixe dinner was no exception. the eclectic decor, place settings, etc... More

Great atmosphere in an old building, with dining areas in what appear to be rooms within the original home. Service was excellent, and the food was delicious.

My daughter and son-in-law had their wedding reception dinner in the downstairs room since it was where they had their first date..after meeting hiking in the White Mountains..in the bank vault. Yes..apparently the building was a bank at one time and the safe is still there but equipped with table and chairs. The downstairs room is not typically used but... More

Since we discovered it over 12 years ago, we inevitably keep finding excuses to go back. Coming from a renowned food town loaded with European and Asian cuisine, Libby's has nothing to envy of its northern neighbor. Nothing pretentious, no flash, at the opposite end of glam, Libby's is a down-to-earth food oasis that offers freshness, locally grown goodness and... More
