Driving over from Acadia on my honeymoon. Checked into hotel, little late heading out and most of town was quiet. The Saalt was open, packed and we had to wait for a table. No complaints as I had the New England Stormy and my wife had the Apple Cider Martini. Home run. So things are going great so far. We... More

I was surprised and pleased that everything I tried had distinctive flavors. I had the sausage/goat cheese appetizer and salmon entree. Both were very tasty and excellent. I've been hearing good things about Libby's Bistro for some time, and I would definitely recommend the restaurant. I'll be going back soon.

This is a genuinely fine restaurant. And it is accordingly expensive. But if you are staying in this neck of the woods, and need to recover from a few days of hiking in the White Mountains - and have some decent clothes along - its worth a visit.

I recently went to Saalt Pub with a group of friends. The food was so great, we all traded bites of everything we had. Every course was amazing. I am a huge fan of their chowder and have never tasted French fries quite the way they do them. A true can't miss. You can not go wrong with anything on... More

Well, who would have imagined that a place the caliber of Libby's Bistro would thrive in the quiet, above the notches town of Gorham, NH? Well Liz Jackson and her capable and loyal crew have been at for many years and accordingly the line for reservations (yes, calling in early is a must for the Bistro) never dwindles. In the... More

If you're looking for a special place to eat in the north country, this is the place! The food is excellent and the atmosphere very relaxing. We shared some appetizers, the lobster gnocchi was delicious, and it was accompanied by a fine bottle of white wine. Coffee and a shared dessert made it the perfect evening. We would highly recommend... More

We had visited neighboring Saalt Pub on several occations and decided to give Libby's a try. Everything was great from start to finish. I had a lobster dish in a cream sauce that I would rate an A+and the pork dish was delicious as well. When we arrived we ordered a bottle of wine and were mistakenly brought 2 glasses... More

Libby's was SUCH a find! We were camping and hiking and mostly cooking over the campfire - but wanted a break. The food was imaginative and, mostly, excellent. The southeast Asian inspired halibut dish was the tops, with the cassoulet (a special) taking a close second. Portions were generous, and thus very much appreciated by hungry hikers. Mussels were fine... More

We stayed in Gorham on our way to Acadia National Park only because we wanted to try the restaurant and returned on our way back because it was so good. The kitchen creates an amazing fusion of flavours using fresh ingredients to the fullest. It is a lovely atmosphere in an old house with excellent service and a reasonably priced... More
