The pancakes are the size of a plate. Corned beef hash was salty. Staff could have been a little bit friendly...no smile. The food was good. Cost was $50 for a family of 6.
I don't like to write bad reviews, but this place was really disappointing. My wife and I stopped in for breakfast. We were looking for a local restaurant, and avoid quick fast food. The service really lacked here. Service without a smile. When our waitress brought our food, she asked it is was okay they our toast was burnt. If... More
It was Sunday and so the restaurant was featuring a brunch that was very well attended. Since we couldn't do justice at a brunch we requested and were given a menu from which to order breakfast. The food was good and prices were reasonable. Service was marginal.
We have been Sunday brunch regulars for years. The food quality has declined & service was terrible. No cream for coffee. Plates piled up on our table & every table around us. Only saw waitress when she dropped off the bill & she was unfriendly. Time for a new Sunday breakfast place
The atmosphere is cozy. Low ceilings with subdued lighting. The service is very fast and if you stay at the TOP KNOTCH INN you get a 10% discount. The omelette's are delicious with more than enough to fill a big appetite.
We love trying out mom and pop restaurants. And you usually cannot go wrong on breakfast. Their homemade cinnamon raisin bread was not bad. However, everything else was disappointing. Food served on cold plates so if you eat your french toast first, your eggs and potatoes are cold. The "homemade potatoes" were diced, dried up, no tasty seasoning or onions/peppers,... More
Popped in on the recommendation from Top Notch Inn for a quick breakfast as we set off on day eight of our 2014 road trip. Ordered from the menu, server very friendly and easy to talk to, over easy eggs, toast, juice and coffee. Cooked well, served well, eaten with gusto! Would recommend.
good food, low prices and excellent service. Plenty of food. Prices averaged around $7-$10. The bacon, two eggs and two homemade toast were only $7.99
What ever you do, make sure your entree has toast. This humble accompaniment steals the show. Made in house, light and crunchy, and you can take it home by the loaf! The rest of the meal was nothing to write about, pun intended. But the bread!
Just great simple breakfast, with a variety of food to choose from. All the breakfast essentials are there and more, the atmosphere was homey and the staff were patient. We kept going there throughout our entire stay in Gorham.
