Very Suprised with the Food

have lived in the area for 4 years and have driven by Dutch Treat many times , but just thought it was a local dive that catered more to drinking then eating. Went for dinner , and even walking in and being seated I wasnt expecting to much for food quality. I ordered a nacho app which was good... read more

We were up here for a week and went to the closest restaurant in town. It didn't look like much from the outside but we were pleasantly surprised by the meal we had. The hostess, Diane, raved about the food so we decided to stay and have a meal. The wine list isn't big but they have the basics. My... More

Looking for a place to take a break on our ride back from Quebec and we came across this homey spot. We all had burgers and the turkey soup. The burgers were tasty and the turkey soup was filled with veggies of cauliflower, asparagus, potatoes and carrots. It was delicious and warming on a cold winter day. They also have... More

We were passing through and stopped in Franconia. We went out for the dinner, not knowing quite where to eat. I was pleasantly surprised at the wide range of options that the restaurant offered. It was homey, the staff was very friendly, and the food was good. It wasn't like a your standard diner food. We were glad we stopped!

This small cafe serves a great fresh haddock (fish) sandwich. I can't review the rest of the food, but for me that is enough of a reason to return. The wait staff at our lunch was also very pleasant.

A small local restaurant downtown Franconia. Nothing fancy, just homey and comfortable. A wide selection on the menu, from sandwiches to full dinners. It also has a bar section if you prefer, or bar service to your table. The staff is typical New Hampshire friendly and warm. People say not to order seafood if you're not near the ocean, but... We were passing by and found the place looked nice. Went in, had great service and the menu was very complete. We ordered the Quattro Quesadillas (extremely good), filet mignon with blue cheese (tasty and tender) as well as the steak salad (very nice). It met our expectations of a diner!

It was a rainy day so we roamed around the Franconia, Littleton, Sugar Hill area. We had no agenda, and we wanted to have some lunch. We stopped into Dutch Treat and chose to sit on the bar side. The bartender Jim was very friendly and helpful, great guy. There were a couple of regulars in there - at least... More

Ok, we had a 6hr hike on Cannon Mountain and were not willing to cook anymore. So just hungry like wolves not asking and expecting too much. Looking for the need of that moment, anything but fast food. In that respect the dinner was more than good. As a Dutchman this treat was ok for that day. Good price, not... More

We dined here mostly because other restaurants in the area were closed the night we visited the area. Upon entering the restaurant, we had low expectations, but still one generally hopes for at least more or less decent service and food. I ordered the crab cakes. When they arrived, they were dense, mushy, and bland. I couldn't finish them, even... More
