We had an enjoyable dinner here. It is one of only 3 places close to our hotel. The food was good and people were friendly.

worst experience we have ever had there! overprice, terrible service, DIRTY, food nasty and FLIES FLIES FLIES! waitress was the worst I have ever had! Was nasty to us, treated us like dirt, people that got there 10-15minutes after us got food, ate it and left before we even got ours! Waitress couldn't even separate our check only had 13... More

Very good. There is choice (fish, meat, pasta), but not too much because it's fresh and very tastefull. Be sure to not arrive too late (there is only 2 places to eat at Franconia I think, the other is a pizzeria) it can be long otherwise (tables arrived after us don't get food for a while). There is also a... More

The fish and chips were OK but the coleslaw tasted like pineapple. The place needs a deep clean. Way too many flies in the dining room. I don't even want to think about the kitchen.

Ate dinner here twice during a late season ski trip to the area. Very good good, excellent specials (whole Maine clams one night, homemade Mac 'n cheese w/hotdog), very good service. Full service bar, and wines by the glass - what's not to like? Late in the ski season there's basically only two restaurants in town open for dinner -... More

We were deciding where to eat one night and read good reviews about this place, and despite it's outward appearance, decided to give it a shot. So glad we did. From the outside it looks like your typical local dive, but the food is incredibe and the menu diverse. You won't be sorry you stopped in and gave it a... More

My girlfriend and I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon recently. The wall next to the table we sat at was splattered with what looked like tomato sauce or maybe ketchup. After ordering I thought it took longer than it should have to get our food. I had the Mountain Burger. It was just OK. Nothing special. Certainly not worth... More

We went here for a late lunch since it was next to the local clothing outlet store where we had been shopping - thinking it was open. There was a waiter milling about, but after a debate between the waiter and the manager (?), they informed us that the place was closed for lunch. This was about 2 in the... More

No doubt that the restaurant interior needs a facelift. The waitstaff was friendly and timely attentive. The steak was cooked as ordered but the nachos were pretty bad. Portions are generous. I'd go back for a steak and beer if I'm in the area.

Came here for a late lunch today after a day's hike in the White Mountains. Service was prompt and pleasant.. I had a Reuben sandwich and my wife had the steak and cheese sandwich with onion rings. Both meals were promptly prepared (except for a few folks at the bar, we were the only ones there) and delicious. We also... More
