Had lunch in the restaurant with friends and had a lovely corner table overlooking the water. All of us ordered the special sandwich of the day and it was delicious, grilled chicken with pesto! service was good. The waiter had a great sense of humor and was attentive! Good place to grab lunch while out shopping in downtown Exeter, NH!

Great food and location. Parking limited. Prices OK. Ambience outstanding - music Thursday night. Near river for great viewing.

We enjoyed delicious appetizers and desserts in this clean and nicely decorated, restaurant. It is located in downtown Exeter--convenient to downtown shopping and strolling by the river. Our waiter was terrific--offering suggestions and had an enjoyable sense of humor. The Roasted Beet salad and the Fried Crimini mushrooms were both fabulous and big enough for sharing. The desserts were enjoyable... More

We were staying in Exeter for the evening and asked our hotel front desk to recommend a place to eat. She told us that 11 Water Street was a very good, locally owned restaurant. We didn't arrive until after 8pm but were greeted warmly. The food was amazing! We had the fried crimini mushrooms which put all previously consumed fried... More

We've been here many times and always enjoy a great atmosphere and wonderful service. Superb pub food in the basement bar!

After we got a feeling of being unwelcome at the Blue Moon Evolution (I think it was ugly shorts night, accompanied by a mismatched floral shirt--something we were not dressed for) 11 Water Street was our second choice, but it was a good one. The roast beef sandwich was excellent (this was real roast beef, not the lunch meat variety)... More

Lets see.....We were at a hockey tournament in Exeter,,and decided to have lunch between games.Anyway, we stumbled upon this establishment and decided to give it a try. We were seated by a very pleasant hostess right beside the river and dam, where you could get the babbling of the brook,so to speak...There I go again...Back to the food...My wife ordered the... My sister took me here for drinks. After tasting the crabcakes and Italian lemon cake I took my husband here for our last dinner in town....wish we would have known sooner how good it was. Had truffled risotto with pancetta....OMG, heaven!! crab cakes again since they were so good the first time...and lemon cake again...yum

Arrived in Exeter too late for dinner, but loved the setting. Made reservations for dinner with whole family for next night and we're not disappointed. Menu offered something for everyone, including the more discerning foodies. My grilled Scottish salmon and risotto was perfect. Desserts were great too.
