Pleasantly surprised

This place opened in the vacated Friendly's. Minimal renovations were done, but they include an intimate bar which seems to be quite popular. The adult beverage list is lengthy and creative. Guacamole is freshly made tableside with expertise and flourish..and tastes great! This is an 'old school' Mex/Mex and Tex/Mex restaurant with the portions being generous and flavorful. My 'go... Went here for a late lunch. Hubby had chimichanga and really enjoyed it. The beef tamale was good. For Exeter, to find authentic Mexican was refreshing. It's definitely not a chain restaurant. The chips and salsa was fresh and having the guacamole made table side was very fresh and good.

I don't like to write negative reviews, and let me start off by saying that there are some things we really like here. The waitstaff is nice. The happy hour drink specials are really good (the cucumber and hornitios maragaritas are our fav's) and the comp. chips and salsa are excellent - salsa has a nice kick. We have had... More

Not quite sure why this place is rated so well? Food is fine. They get the order wrong each time. The place has a diner feel. Not an atmosphere to relax and get a meal. Can't say I'd be back for meal #3.

So, inside the old Friendly's (?) is a Mexican joint. I think it'd feel better at night, especially with some tequila. Service was good. Food was decent with real salsa. I think they dumb it down for Whitey in order to serve a broader clientele. Probably could create make much better it given the liberty. Not bad for variety compared... More

Wow, what a great meal. My wife and I just tried this new Mexican food establishment in Exeter, NH, and we were pleasantly surprised! My wife has been hearing about this place from her clients (she is a cosmetologist) that this place was great. There are two other Mexican food joints in town, all within a half mile of each... This was my second visit to Mexico Lindo. I was so excited to hear of a new authentic Mexican Restaurant in the area so I had to check it out. First visit: I thought, ok, this place is decent...I can overlook the shabby interior, the somewhat confused staff and the order that had to be returned because my son had... More

The table made guacamole was great but otherwise the food was just ok. What was disappointing is that Jay McSharry the owner, did absolutely nothing to clean the place after Friendly's closed. The ceiling tiles are filthy as are the vents and it makes one wonder what the kitchen is like. Stick with Loco Coco Tacos.

If you know what decent Hispanic cuisine should be, this unpretentious operation should make you happy. I agree totally with "Finally". Puts the other local attempts far off pace. Entrees are all just above $10. The only drawback, if you can call it that, is that guacamole is only served tableside by special order for $8. Interesting house Margaritas!

So if this is what authentic Mexican food is suppose to taste like, sign me up! The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Fresh guacamole made right at our table was very tasty and my pablano mole chicken enchilada was outstanding. My wife was a little disappointed that her first magarita didn't have more salt on the rim, but... More
