Local Classic

Basically its your standard Chinese-American restaurant with friendlier service and better food. I've been going to this restaurant for over 19 years.

We stopped by for supper on a Friday. We were quickly seated. Bartender/host was friendly and accommodating. Mai tai was well-made and generous for $6.25. Hot and sour soup was fair, not hot and spicy enough. Dumplings were generous but bland. Cold sesame noodles were a bit thick with peanut sauce. Beef and green beans were tasty and a nice... More

Like a lot of Chinese restaurants this one has a few urban legends circulating but you could usually count on the food being pretty good. You just didn't peer into the kitchen and tried to think happy thoughts as you ordered. The dining room was attractive and the service was generally tops. It's apparently changed hands and the food doesn't... More

I had heard a lot of local (good) reviews about this restaurant, and finally had a chance to place an order. The food was delivered quickly, and was great! Will definitely visit this establishment again.

Chinese take out is always and iffy proposition - many time things that seem OK in the restaurant turn out to be gloppy tasteless messes when you bring them home. This was a bit better, although still suffering from a case of blandness. the General Tso's chicken was the only iffy dish, all of the others were pretty good. Portions... More

The decor is typical dated americhinese. A rectangle room we it no booths. Hot and sour soup was better than average. Egg rolls were very big send seemed to be very fresh in house made. I had the chicken chow mein. It was hot and had good flavor. The price was excellent for the amount of food I got.

We've been searching for a decent Chinese place closer than Bedford, and, alas, we've ruled out another one. I was excited when we were provided with an entire pot of tea, and then disappointed that it tasted like hot, colored water. It was brown, but no scent or flavor, let alone the delicious jasmine scent/flavor that I was hoping for.... More

I admit. I am a Thai food snob. The only other Thai restaurant that wasn't Americanized Thai was closed, so reluctantly I came here. Let me be clear - I don't particularly like Chinese food. But I very much like Thai. So if you like Chinese, by all means come and eat here. The service is quick, polite, and as... More

While not as over the top as some Chinese places, it is a nice place to dine. The lunchtime offerings were generous, filling and very tasty at an excellent price.

Our local Chinese restaurant was always outstanding (and 1 mile away). Tonight was our first night in the new house - decided to try Pine Garden as we're now equidistant to our old favorite and PG. In a nutshell - the quality and taste is outstanding! We had takeout tonight: Crab Rangoon, House Fried Rice, Egg Rolls, General Gau's Chicken,... More
