We have heard both good and bad about this restaurant, but some Exeter natives say it's their favorite in a town that has some excellent places to eat. We decided to check it out for ourselves by having a drink and appetizer then walk home to have dinner. We chose the pub at below street level and found a busy,... More

Had reservations for Dinner on a Saturday night with friends. 6 in our party. Had a beautiful table by the window overlooking the falls. Started out very good, but after our first drinks and a salad, I had to go up and ask for more water and drinks. Our meals were very good, although I think I got my friends... More

We were in Exeter on a recent trip. We were going to skip Pimentos because of the low ratings on TA. However, it was Monday and other places were closed. The sign outside said new chef, new menu. OK, lets try it. Its a little strange to go thru the upstairs part, past the kitchen to get to the stairs... More

It's easy to just walk right on by Pimento's as the cozy bar area is located below street level. But if you don't stop in, you're missing out. I've been several times in the past but there has been a gap of many months since my visit a couple of weeks ago. I way very happy with what I discovered:... More

My husband and I have been here a couple of times. Both times before, we ate downstairs at a nice table overlooking the river. The food was decent, as I recall. We both had beer and ate from the lounge menu. Our impression, on both occasions, was that of which we'd decided we may return for drinks and pub fare... More

Pimentos has gone down hill CONSIDERABLY in the last year or two. Last night was our worse dining experience ever. I mean that literally and we eat out several times a month. We arrived at 5:30 and it was fairly quiet. My wife ordered the Salmon but was told they didn't have any. She decided to start with some fried... More

I am very sorry to hear about your experience at our restaurant that evening. We were a day away from one of our Seasonal menu changes and so we were out of a few things. Our first mistake that night was that the waitress should have informed you when you were given menus of the items we were out of... More

Very average restaurant, nothing too special. They try to hard in some cases. I think they need to choose a type of food and stick with it. My wife liked it, my children were just confused on what to get.

Cute downstairs boite. Some things on menu were not available but what we ordered was nice. Everything was fresh. My daughter's salmon was a bit watery and not sure why but good flavor on vegs. Would go again and order simple options such as burgers.

The food is excellent, I'm always pleased with Pimentos. The Martini's are the best around. The service is always very good. I would like to see more vegetarian dishes on the menu. The atmosphere is very relaxed and easy going. Pimento’s has an air of sophistication but casual, not stuffy at all.

The chef really takes pride in the menu and what is served. A few of my favorites-- the lobster and crab roll, the fish tacos (on the tapas menu), and the dates stuffed with cheese. Epic! The house wine is also tasty and priced well.
