We have been to Cartell's before but it had been over a year and so we decided to go on a Saturday night. We requested the dining room and were seated immediately. Note that it was early (5:45 pm) We had the potato skin appetizers, house wine (not bad) and beer. I had the special (grilled salmon with shrimp). It... More

I came here on a weeknight with a group of work colleagues. It was ladies' night, meaning certain drinks and entrees are deeply discounted. There is some fine print...so make sure you have the waitstaff explain the details. We were seated immediately in the dining area, and they did extend the ladies night discount to us, even though it's usually... More

I just recently went to Cartelli's Bar & Grill for dinner. Never having been there I was uncertain what to try, so I asked the waitress for some of the meals she liked. One she mentioned was eggplant parmigiana. I love eggplant, so I decided to give it a try...and glad I did. It was the best eggplant parm I... More

I'm sad to say that this place has really suffered in quantity and quality of food since it first opened. It used to be one of my favorite places to eat in Dover. I am only writing this review to hopefully spur them back into the establishment they once were. The food my wife and I ordered was nothing compared... More

The pasta dishes are humongous. Unfortunately, it costs me $4 to add chicken to the pasta dish and all I got was a really small serving of chicken. Not saying I needed a lot of chicken, but it was definitely not $4 worth of chicken in the dish. The food wasn't bad, but it didn't wow me for Italian food.

Good Italian food, but not good enough for the price. I usually only go on Wednesday (Ladies Night) for half off a limited selection of entrees for ladies. Service can go either way.

I have been to Cartelli's several times. It's hit or miss with both service and food. There are better places in Dover.

When Cartelli's first opened, the quality and consistency of the food was great. During recent visits it has not been nearly as good. The bar is the best part of the restaurant - casual and friendly, and a good place to meet up with friends.

I've eaten here twice with family visiting me from out of town. My dad claims this restaurant's food is as good as any in the North End. Their calamari is possibly the best I've ever had. They always have great soups. The first time I was there I ordered the shrimp scampi- with sundried tomatoes, it's a little non-traditional but... More
