Description: We are the first true prime steakhouse in the state of NH featuring...
We are the first true prime steakhouse in the state of NH featuring dry-aged steaks and Wine Spectator award winning wine list. Opened in 2004 by acclaimed CIA chef, Chris "Koz" Kozlowski, the restaurant garnered the prestigious "Hidden Jewel" award from the Phantom Gourmet in 2013. Chef Koz is the only chef to receive this award twice in the state of NH.

The restaurant is located in an old firehouse building located right downtown Dover. The downstairs is more elegant with white tablecloths and chandeliers. The upstairs is called the Top of the Chop and features a more casual atmosphere with a lighter "Rustic Menu". In the warmer months, you can have dinner outside on the Terrace, our outdoor deck. We also have a full kids menu.

Great Food

Took my daughter - we each got a dry aged steak - her the cowboy steak, me the T-Bone. Great steaks - cooked perfectly. "THE" Spinach was great, the house salad dressing was phenomenal. Egg Nog Creme Brulee was great for me - my daughter enjoyed the flourless chocolate cake. French Onion soup was... read more

I ate at the Chop Shop this past week for the first time and it was amazing! The food was rich and full of flavor. Towards the end of our meal, the chef came out and introduced himself and let us try some of the homemade cheesecake and bailey's chocolate cake that he made. It was the best cheesecake that... My brother and I visited the Orchard Street Chop Shop last week and both had the 35-Day Dry-aged Cowboy Ribeye Steak! Not a mistake! Chef prepared with sauteed onions and blue cheese medallions - perfect! Atmosphere - staff are excellent! An evening here is a great opportunity for Seacoast diners as well as those looking for a hidden diamond in... More

Their new Head Chef has amped up the menu, and introduced some great specials as well. The shrimp appetizer was stellar, and the fish & chips special was so good that I was lucky to get a sample from my dining partner. A visit in December let us know how good the new truffled mac & cheese is, and the... More

I have been to this restaurant several times and each time has been better than the last. This past December, I had dinner here with my husband and his parents. We had steak, pork and chicken dishes, and everything was cooked to perfection and thoughtfully prepared. The new chef, Leighton, took the time to come out and talk with us... More

The food was perfect. The chef showed my twelve year old the kitchen. We could have a family conversation and fight over dessert. Perfect

Annual Holiday party for 12 was a complete success at this trendy restaurant in Dover, NH. Evening started at the Top of the Chop, the restaurants bar and lounge area. Nick, our bartender went above and beyond shaking martinis and pouring red wine and local craft brews for a thirsty group of ladies. We were all having so much fun... More

Dined here on a weekday evening. Ate upstairs, which is pub-ish in decor and ambiance. Both pub and regular dinner menus were avaiable. We ordered from the more expensive dinner menu, and chose steaks. Steaks were average in fllavor and size, as were the sides. Food was served luke warm. Service was very deliberate (read slow) and done in a... More
