Had my birthday dinner last night. Other than 2 other tables of 2 people each, we were the only guests all night. 8 of us outside on the terrace which is loacted in front of the dumpster!! Not good, one would think the server would have sugested we move inside, she finally asked if we wanted her to light some... More

I am now going to start responding to TripAdvisor reviews. I am very puzzled over this review because when these folks were done, I went out and spoke with the table. They told me that they were very happy and most shook my hand. We were talking about mutual friends that live nearby and were thanking me for shucking so... More

What a great place to spend an evening! This is a refurbished fire house in the old city of Dover, New Hampshire. With children, the couches near our table contributed to making the evening a pleasant one. The Gaspacho Soup and the Oyster Rockefeller Appetizer were excellent!

Stopped by here for our anniversary dinner since we had always been intrigued by the steak and menu. We had a wonderful Uvaggio Barbera wine with our Chateaubriand, but to be honest, even with a medium-rare order the steak was a bit overdone. Flavor and texture of the steak was wonderful, as was the potatoes and asparagus. Our desserts were... More

Waitress was a delight, but not very attentive.... Missed several opportunities to provide drinks. Several times, we got up to go to the bar to get fresh drinks. Food was slow, very slow, and definitely a let down. The prime rib was dry & gray: typical of cryovac meat. Certainly not dry, aged as advertised. In a party of 12,... More

The steaks are great here. That's where the great stops, I'm afraid. It's very loud and the kitchen noise is very hard to talk over. The waitress was not friendly and not efficient. She forgot things too. For the price you pay, it's mediocre. Portions tiny. Salad was literally about 5 bites. Bread was nothing special but the herb butter... More

Went here recently and disappointed with quality of food and slow service. Found out when we arrived the downstairs was closed so we forced to eat upstairs, more like a local bar than an upscale restaurant. Out of four entrees two were awful (filet mignons), tough and little flavor. The two others were aged steaks which were good. No wait... More

This is long overdue, but better late than never! In June of 2013, I hosted a graduation brunch for 30 people at the Orchard Street Chop Shop. The chef, Koz, worked with me to design the menu (including ensuring everything was gluten free). He was beyond accommodating and helpful. He had suggestions and worked easily with my requests. We had... More

I went to this restaurant with a group of women colleagues after we had heard it was a nice place to eat. The prices certainly suggested that this was the case. The restaurant has a downstairs and an upstairs, and from what we could see on the way by, the downstairs dining room is very well-appointed. I had been there... More

We arrived at 6:15 on Saturday 3/8/14 and were greeted promptly at the desk and escorted to our fireplace sided table (nice room) and served ice water immediately (we have never been here before). Our server, Donna, was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered a glass of champagne and a specialty cocktail. The Oysters Rockefeller were delicious.... More

Dined here on Feb 21 2014 which was a Friday night. We had 4 in our party and we were in the main dining room which was 1/3 filled at 7:30 on a Friday night. They didn't have the first two choices of wine. Drinks took a bit too long to arrive, about 15 minutes after they were ordered. We... More
