After hiking in Vaughan Woods, I was hungry for a great seafood meal and I'm glad we found this place. I had the broiled scallops, they were cooked perfectly and were some of the best I've had. My wife had the calamari dinner and loved it. The service was impeccable. The owner/server was accommodating and super friendly! We will make... More

Horrible. I could try to describe it but what's the point. Just dreadful! The food was overlooked, the server seemed out of it. Find a McDonalds - and I don't eat fast food

On the NH seacoast there are many choices for good fish. We go here a lot and take visitors here regularly. it is family run and so we like to support local businesses and the food is very good.

This restaurant is located next to the Days Inn so we went to it for the convenience on the evening we checked in. We were told to seat ourselves and then waited a long time to be greeted properly and given menus. Our server (daughter of the owner, I believe) was very personable but seemed distracted even though it wasn't... More

Best Oyester Sandwhich and fries! Go for Lunch! Good place for large groups. Not the best ambience but the food is awesome!

The food is good, the service was also. The atmosphere is not what you would expect, but it is pleasant. Good amount of food for the price.

Expensive menu, fishy stinky restaurant that was so awful I got the sense they were about to close. NO SURPRISE! I looked it up after we got home and it is on the market. We had a terrible lunch and the owner (who used to be terrific, I think she is the daughter of the mother/daughter owner pair) had no... More

New to the area so I tried it and it was really good. The waitress is one of the nicest people I've ever meet. She recommended the jumbo shrimp and scallops, they were so good ! Lightly fried and seasoned perfect !!!

Service, price & food are great and definitely worth a visit to The Fish Shanty. In business atire or jeans you'll fit in just fine. Great place for lunch & dinner. I love the lobster bisque and the fish sandwich. The fisherman's platter can easily be split by 2 or 3 people with leftovers. Not to mention the homemade tartar... More

My wife and I were in town for a few hours on a Friday night and went in search of a decent meal. It would either be Chinese or seafood. I'm glad we chose the seafood. I remember going to a Fish Shanty in Portsmouth years ago, and they always had great food. So when I saw one in Dover,... More
