This was on my to do list. Went with friends. The thick chowders were the best. The dinners were were bland -the baked haddock was passable, the baked stuff shrimp were medium size, one was raw and lots of breadcrumbs. Again passable. Service was good -there were less than 10 people dining .....liked the decor. Not a fan '

Fresh seafood, right on the water. Nothing fancy just good food, and friendly service. Friendly wait staff.

I used to go to the old Newick's before it burned down, years ago. It was literally a seafood shack. The rebuilt version is still on the (very) casual side but is HUGE (to accommodate the large, loyal crowds that flock to Newick's). My Lobster Roll was wonderful, Newick's legendary potato chip were great and the side of onion rings... More

Based on reviews and hearing about this restaurant decided to give it a try. It's big, cavernous even and had a pretty good crowd for a Sunday mid afternoon. The food and approach was old school. Paper plates, plastic utensils, huge menu with lot's of fried items which is what I expected. My wife got the fish taco's which were... More

Maybe it's just me, but going out to dinner is more than just the food. It's about good service, a decent, clean atmosphere and someone else doing the dishes and that someone should be kind. Newick's doesn't pan out on any of my basics with the exception that the food was okay, but not noteworthy. Newick's is basically a fried... More

Prior to our trip, I had already been eyeing this place based on recommendations from review sites like TripAdvisor. On our way to Dover, we stopped at the New Hampshire Welcome Center. There, we talked to a really nice person who manned the center. After chatting about a few things and letting her know that we were staying in Dover,... More

Newicks isn't fancy but the food is good, portions generous without being grotesque, the service was friendly and the outside scenery is beautiful. The prices are reasonable.

I always have Lobster Stew. So yummy and big pieces of lobster can't go wrong. Their homemade potato chips are a great compliment dipped in the stew. We also enjoyed onion rings and sweet tea. Nice friendly staff.

We are originally from the area, and always visit Newick's when we are back 'home.' On this trip we found the food to be very good, and the service excellent. We actually split a 'combo' meal, which was plenty of food and was a very cost-wise option for lunch.

If you are looking for a 5 star eatery...keep going. If you don't mind a really good meal, with paper plates & plastic cutlery, welcome! The waitress helped us save a ton of money by "adding a lobster" for $10 to any meal over 10 bucks. My wife got a combo platter, I got the added on 1# lobster and... More
