Sunset was gorgeous

We visit here every year on our way home from a weekend away. This year we caught the sunset. Stupendous! That alone made the stop worth it. The place is huge, so large groups are not a problem. The staff is efficient and friendly. The onion rings are amazing. I ordered the broiled swordfish and it... read more

This restaurant is a Dover staple and loved by residents and tourists. It has been in existence in one form or another for many years. I think it is the name that draws people. I see them trying to branch out and make more "interesting" dishes such as seafood shepherds pie. They do fried seafood well, chowders well and lobster... More

Dependably average. Nothing earth-shattering. Lots of room for big parties and large family gatherings. Very friendly to group meetings.

The seafood was good. The service was good. We will return. The place was as expected. No surprises.

Overpriced, poor service and worst of all, they don't clean the shrimp so they think so little of their patrons they serve them feces. When I asked the manager he said that's how we order them. No apologies how disgusting won't ever go there.

I don't want to burst any bubbles here, but really???? The prices are not cheap, the food is just OK and they serve you from paper plates. It's time for them to rethink the direction they are going in. This use to be hands down the best seafood around.Back then there weren't too many places to go. It's really gone... More

Stopped at Newick's with my mom during a recent visit back to New Hampshire. The Fisherman's Platter is my "death row meal"! Had that and a couple local draft beers. Newick's is simple and tasty. You eat with plastic forks off a paper plate while sitting at cheap table. But the food is excellent, and they have huge windows that... More

We returned home for the holidays and wanted to satisfy our craving for fried seafood. We stopped at Newick’s on our way to Maine and we were extremely disappointed in the quality of the food. We hadn’t been there in a very long time and the place has really gone downhill. The food was tasteless. Even the tartar sauce was... More

I went to eat with my daughter since she wanted seafood and was very impressed. I do not eat seafood very often. I figured might as well try the lobster since it cannot get much fresher with the dock coming off the back door lol. This is NOT a fancy place but the food was great. It was the best... More

Newick's was recommended as a local favorite for lunch by personnel at nearby UNH, and did not disappoint. Perfectly fresh lobster prepared any way you can imagine with delectable sides. An ultra-casual atmosphere, no worries wait staff, all made for a delicious and relaxing meal. I sampled the house clam chowder; its perfect cream sauce was so full of finely... More
