Great Food!

I have been dining at Newick's for decades. This is the place for you if you like great seafood and portions and an old New England feel. We were seated by the water and service was in a friendly and timely matter. The décor is wanting a little freshening up, but it's a comfy place to be and the... read more

I hadn't been here for a few years because I had moved away and was really looking forward to going there on this trip. Unfortunately after eating there we both had stomach issues We had different entrees and sides so it wasn't that but we think it may have had something to do with the tartar sauce we both ate... Newick's is a landmark in this area of New Hampshire! Red checkered tablecloths, paper plates, plastic cutlery, the works. A view to die for. Had calamari, clams and haddock. It was GOOD! Could easily go back but the prices are really high. Sixty dollars for two for lunch was truly too much. And we only had water to drink.

Found this on TripAdvisor. Glad we did! We wanted - craved fresh seafood and this is a great spot. NO waiting either because it is very very large and yet the manage to make it feel quaint and cozy. We had a feast of lobster stew, lobster, lobster rolls and lobster salad. The landlubber in the group had the BBQ... More

I hadn't been there in over 20 Years... It still hadn't changed much. They still had the long tables for BIG groups and round and smaller tables. I had the clam strips and were VERY GOOD !!!. As usual it got REAL busy at 5:00-6:00pm. We did wait quite a while for the meal. At least it was worth the... More

Great for lobster-lovers and most unique atmosphere! Very casual and relaxed, but the food is fantastic. Let's not forget the paper plates and plastic forks. Great for families and parties!

Spectacular food as always. Surf and turf.. hmmmm. Too much food to eat at one sitting...the best haddock anywhere.

The seafood is so fresh and delicious. I have been going there since I was a little girl. Family friendly with a nice view.

We cannot go to Maine without stopping at Newick's at least once. Usually we will time it for lunch on the way to Maine and dinner on the way home. While I personally do not like seafood, their chicken tenders are delicious. Though my family can attest that their seafood is fresh and out of this world.

There are so many great seafood spots in and around this area, this is probably not a good spot to choose unless you have a group of 50+. It seems like this spot is pretty conducive to huge tour bus groups of people. With red/white checked table cloths and plastic utensils, you do not get a lot (...read any) frills... More
