DELICIOUS NEWICK’S BOAT YARD COMBO PLATE

Newick’s Lobster House has been in business for three generations. It began as a lobster shack in 1948 and grew into a full-sized seafood restaurant. It’s the only waterfront restaurant on Dover Point. This is the flagship restaurant of this small regional chain. The décor is nothing fancy... read more

My son and I had a late lunch this past Sunday at Newicks on Dover Point Road. The waitress was great...and my expectations of casual dining was fine. We have been here numerous times. What shocked me was my son had a Jumbo Lobster Roll for 21.99 and it was either "fresh ;frozen" lobster meat or canned. I have been... More

Newick's Seafood Restaurant in Dover N.H. Is a must visit whenever we visit friends in Portsmouth N.H. It's just over the bridge that goes from Portsmouth to Dover N.H.and I've been dining there since before I met my husband of 44 years ago! I grew up in the area , married and moved to Ohio. So whenever we return for... More

I met a friend today at Newick's on Dover Point Road - it has been a couple of years since I was here last. While my meal was acceptable, I found it a bit lower in quality than I previously received here. The waterfront locale and waitstaff are a plus, though. Expect very casual dining on paper plates and plastic... More

Food was just average. The fried fish platter at our local VFW is better. Not bad for a very casual night out.

A limited menu with fresh items. The atmosphere is low keep and efficient. Nine of us were served in efficient fashion with drinks accurately delivered. Seafood items were fresh and very hot. This is not a date destination, but for fish lovers, it is reliable.

We have gone to Newick's for years and we are never disappointed. We usually have a fried fish entree-always delicious and fresh. Cole slaw okay, rolls old fashioned soft kind. Try to get a table with water views--we often wait until 1:30 or dinner at 7 and usually get a good table then.

We went there for our seafood fix. We very upset to find out that stop serving the dinner rolls. The service was anything special we did have ask the service couple simple things i.e refills and ask for silver wear.

So nice to have the nostalgia of a seaside fried food shack. Looking out over the bay is a treat and even though the rooms are now enormous, the red checked oilcloth tablecloths set the mood quite nicely. It's getting harder and harder to satisfy the craving for good old fried clams, onion rings, french fries and thick haddock sandwiches... More

We visit here every year on our way home from a weekend away. This year we caught the sunset. Stupendous! That alone made the stop worth it. The place is huge, so large groups are not a problem. The staff is efficient and friendly. The onion rings are amazing. I ordered the broiled swordfish and it was average. The fried... More
