The food was alright but this place is in major need of a cleanup. It looks very run down and unpleasant bringing down everything around it. To be honest, if I didn't read the reviews that said the food was ok I would never step in here. Owners should take note and remodel the place on the outside and inside.

I've been wanting to try Indian food & tonight was the night. My daughter & family are residing near to Taste of India & I was encouraged by other reviews to try it. My choice was vegetable samosa and chicken saag, a dish that includes spinach, cream & wonderful light spices. The 3 additional sauces were delicious over the rice... More

Indian food is my favorite, and there are few options in Southern Maine / New Hampshire. For some reason I knew that Taste of India existed but had yet to eat there. The parking is not convenient, and the building is not much to look at from the outside. Perhaps all of that contributed to the unexpected pleasure inside the... More

We've eaten at several Indian restaurants and this is our favorite. Quiet neighborhood atmosphere and on Sunday there is an all you can eat buffet. The variety is limited but extremely tasty and the owners are very helpful.

I'm not an expert on Indian cuisine. When I was in college we called it "brown food" because it all sort of looked that way. I became a convert on a visit to Birmingham England where I discovered how good Indian could be. I've had a lot of disappointment trying to duplicate the experience on this side of the Atlantic... Nothing sitting under heat lamps here. Beautiful food, so fresh and served hot. Friendly, courteous, service. Proprietor very friendly and sweet to our kids. Clean. Informal.

This is my mother's favorite restaurant in Dover and every time I visit the area, we either eat here together or get takeout. We especially enjoy their lamb curry and saag paneer, and the spicy papa dams. The chicken tika and shrimp masala are also wonderfully flavorful. The special ingredient here, though, is the kindness offered by the owners. They... More

Good food for a great price. You can order different grades of heat. American heat level or you can ask for there true heat levels. Menu is traditional American Indian food but you can ask them to be creative if you want more traditional type Indian food. Service is great. Building needs updating but very clean and neat.

I literally eat here about once a week; it's worth it. The owner's and staff have come to know my buddy and I (and what we order!) since we're in here so much. The staff is wicked nice as well. What can I say? Indian food is delicious; so much flavor, spice if you want it, and healthy for you.... More

Well gave this place a try with a date who said she loves it here. So of course I had to give it a try not ever trying Indian food before. We recieved a greeting from the owner which I loved. It gives you a good feeling. Well not knowing what to order I seen a sample dish with a... More
