Just a pub

Went with a friend for lunch recently. We were guided through a couple of rooms to the porch which had a view of the river. Just from being taken to our table and then leaving, I had the feeling that the rooms were quite chopped up and maneuvering through them was awkward for guests as well as wait... read more

Rooms feel choppy. Ac only works in one of the small rooms. Deck only had three umbrella tables set up for shade so was not able to sit out there on this hot sunny day and the porch had no fans to move the still air. Sad because the deck and porch are the only rooms to see the river... More

My son, my girl, and I went for lunch while we were on vaca... The food is very tasteful and deciduous, and my sons kids meal chicken fingers were huge real pieces of juicy chicken... Definitely not a chinsey kids meal... we ordered the bbq pulled pork... Yummmo. Decently priced and nice view.. Only thing I wasn't keen on was... More

The Farm has become a semi-regular restaurant for my wife and me. The food is reasonably priced pub food, and in the summer time the outdoor dining area is wonderful. We also go to the restaurant at other times, and the inside seating is also good. The food is generally very good - we eat a variety of salads, sandwiches... More

We hadn't been to The Farm in a while and decided to go there for lunch. We sat on the covered porch that overlooks the Cocheco River- nice! First thing I noticed is that the music is softer, a big thumbs up as now we can have some conversation as we dine. Our server was prompt with greeting us, taking... More

was too pricey and not impressed with what we ordered, had a larger party of 6 so they put us in a side room that was more of a porch, felt like we had to go get our own drinks etc. Just too pricey for us for what we are used to getting at other local restaurants

I ate lunch here with my friend on a beautiful Saturday. It's lovely to sit outside looking at the river. The service was quick and attentive. We both ordered the grilled fish tacos. The fish was perfectly cooked but the preparation was odd. There were three large tacos, each in a sort of white wrap rather than a tortilla. The... More

This was my second trip to The Farm. Service was fine, the ladies were friendly and helpful. The food, however, was mediocre. We all had barbeque items. The pulled pork was somewhat dry, the ribs over sauced, and the half chicken could have done quite nicely without the maple and bacon. The steak tips were lovely. The prices for the... More

Great cheap (inexpensive) food, big portions. Food is consistently wonderful. Fun in any season with an outdoor patio facing the river and a nice wood stove in winter. But the staff......after 7 years in Dover I still can't understand how they find such cute, responsible, charming wait staff. OK, so I'm older but these kids are adorable.

This is our second time to the farm. Our waitress Emily was very nice. The atmosphere is great, overlooking the Cocheco river. Unfortunately the kitchen over cooked the burger we ordered, however the Tuna volcano (seared tuna and seaweed salad was awesome). My girlfriend loved the tequila sunrise sangria, and I guarantee the burger would have been awesome if cooked... More
