This was or first visit to the Darby Field Inn. Our party of five was seated in a corner table in the dining room, which has a very nice view of the mountains from several large picture windows. The service was very friendly. Amongst our party we sampled the Mediterranean Chicken (very good), the Spinach Ravioli (excellent), a Haddock special... More

This was a return trip for my husband & I as inn guests & a return visit to dine there as well. So convenient when you're a guest, especially after a long, fun day of skiing. It's nice to run up to your room & down to dinner. Our first visit was during a snowstorm in February 2013 & having... More

My wife and I stayed at the inn between Christmas and New Years and we had an excellent time. We ended up eating both dinners at the inn because of a blizzard that ended up keeping us inside on our second night. It worked out for us because the filet mignon was excellent. It was perfectly cooked and the melted... More

While the menu is not extensive, it should have something for everyone. We dined there twice, and both dinners were excellent. It is high-end chef-prepared food.

The restaurant of this beautiful small hotel is surprisingly reasonable for such an upscale place. The grounds are magnificent, and the building itself is beautiful. There are several outside areas to enjoy a drink and a view. We had a table by the window overlooking the grounds with the beautiful White Mountains as a vista. The food was excellent, and... More

My husband and I had dinner on New Year's Eve at the Darby Field Inn. The Hostess was just lovely, friendly, took us to a great table in a very romantic corner of the restaurant as requested. Our waitress, Dawn, i believe, was attentive, helpful, and even though we were at a designated 6 PM sitting, did not rush us.... More

When you are looking for fine dining, the Darby Field restaurant is one of the best choice in our area. A few of my favorite dinners are their duck . lamb, and salmon. It's a little of the beaten path, yet well worth finding and experiencing their food and the scenery. .

We had a great meal at the Darby Field Inn. The dining room was warm and comfortable - makes you feel at home. We split the Darby Salad - definitely enough for 2 people. I had the Chicken Piccata and my partner had the Salmon. Both were cooked to perfection with a light glaze on the salmon and a sauce... More

Our meal was obviously not freshly cooked (the duck). Vegetables were poor. My wife had to order some more potatoes, and even the replacement was barely warm. Given the expectations, this was the most disappointing meal on our entire 2-week trip.
