Authentic Indian cuisine and family owned & operated. They make & serve several types of bread for the dipping & cleaning off of your plate. We had the chicken curry & shrimp curry & there house specialty rice & you can't go wrong with that, I always say !

I had a wonderful Lamb Curry, and the Coconut soup is mouth watering! It wasn't crushingly busy and the wait staff are very helpful.

The food was really bad and all the gravy are same for veg and non-veg curries. They took lot of time to prepare the food. The price are high in comparison to other Indian restaurant.

This was my first time visiting this establishment and based on the treatment we received, I will definitely not be returning. The service we received (from whom I believe was the owner) was horrible and downright mean. My father was in the middle of ordering, and being elderly he tends to take a little while to get it out, and... More

The curry was watered down, and the service was ok. The prices were very high for what you actually get. Service was not friendly at all but efficient. Sadly we will not be returning...I am afraid that I can made better indian food than that place and I am not even indian!

Service is very attentive. Food varied - lamb vindaloo was very good and spicy like it ought to be (hot, not medium). The "nine vegetables" curry was just alright - vegetables with high water content blanded down the sauce. Naan was good. They were accomodating to a toddler (high chair, non-breakable water glass).

House of India is a very cozy restaurant on a busy side street in downtown Concord. The menu is large and our party of three sampled a chicken, a lamb and a vegetarian dish. All were scrumptious, and accompanied with mounds of nan and even a rice pudding for dessert. The curry dishes were relatively mild. I am already looking... More

If you like bland food with good service this restaurant is for you. I had a plain nan and Chicken Mughalai, both tasted like they were bought at a local grocery store. I too have traveled all over the world and this is not Chicken Mughalai! I had assumed that this place had just opened and was stunned to learn... More

Well, it is the only Indian restaurant in town. So I keep going back when I have a craving. It used to be better with larger portions and free chutney's. A while back they started charging for the chutneys, and charge a silly price for them now. Everything is a la carte, bread, chutneys and dishes. Though they do still... More
