It's OK. In the best sense of the word.

It's not "OK", as in "just OK", nor meaning mediocre, as in "so-so". It's OK, as in "OK with a smile" When we went in it was a Wednesday night, and got a couple of vegetarian curries, rice, and a roti to share. The gravies were identical, but not bad. The Nav ratan Korma had all nine... read more

My friend and I had trouble finding a parking spot in downtown Concord as the whole Main Street is half torn up. We ended up parking across the street from this restaurant and figured why not give it a try. We both love Indian food, and our last Indian meal at a restaurant in Hoboken, NJ was so good, we... We had been off House of India for a while due to food arriving in a not-so-hot condition and somewhat indifferent service. After the Siam Orchid debacle, we decided to give it another try and were quite pleased. The food was perfectly spiced and arrived piping hot. The naan (get the coconut and rice one—very good) was hot and perfectly... More

Authentic Indian cuisine and family owned & operated. They make & serve several types of bread for the dipping & cleaning off of your plate. We had the chicken curry & shrimp curry & there house specialty rice & you can't go wrong with that, I always say !

I had a wonderful Lamb Curry, and the Coconut soup is mouth watering! It wasn't crushingly busy and the wait staff are very helpful.

The food was really bad and all the gravy are same for veg and non-veg curries. They took lot of time to prepare the food. The price are high in comparison to other Indian restaurant.

This was my first time visiting this establishment and based on the treatment we received, I will definitely not be returning. The service we received (from whom I believe was the owner) was horrible and downright mean. My father was in the middle of ordering, and being elderly he tends to take a little while to get it out, and... More

The curry was watered down, and the service was ok. The prices were very high for what you actually get. Service was not friendly at all but efficient. Sadly we will not be returning...I am afraid that I can made better indian food than that place and I am not even indian!

Service is very attentive. Food varied - lamb vindaloo was very good and spicy like it ought to be (hot, not medium). The "nine vegetables" curry was just alright - vegetables with high water content blanded down the sauce. Naan was good. They were accomodating to a toddler (high chair, non-breakable water glass).
