We were expecting something different, but once inside, the offerings were enticing. Eclairs, chocolate moose, coffee cakes, meringues, lemon bars - yes we got all that to enjoy at our final destination the next couple days. All was Superb!

When in Concord, NH Bread & Chocolate is a must for a lunch stop. They offer a wide selection of standard and unique sandwiches. My favorite, hands down, is the Italian with fresh ingredients and absolutely the best bread one can experience. The sandwiches are large, so their unbelievable selection of deserts are something I need to bring home. Their... More

I would meet my husband for lunch here often. The sandwiches are on delicious bread (get there early if you want a specific sandwich-they go fast) and very generous. Of course we went here knowing we would get a dessert. Everything we have tried has been good. They also make cappuccinos to go with the wonderful pastries. On of our... More

My family has been buying cakes from Franz since he first started in Hillsborough, and are always pleased. My favorite memory is getting a call from him a day or two before my wedding to nervously tell me that the yellow marzipan roses I'd requested for my cake were not available. When I chose pink at his suggestion, he commented... More

The dessert case just glows with delicious European confections. Concord is soooooo lucky to have Bread and Chocolate. I lived in the Netherlands for 3 years and Bread and Chocolate is the only place I can go that has perfect European desserts. Absolutely worth the trip!!!

Came here per someone's recommendation and I was not disappointed! I had a tiramisu cupcake that was fantastic. Can't wait to go back,

The owner wakes up super early every morning and bakes everything fresh. The sandwiches are absolutely incredible and the actual bread-and-chocolate is the breakfast of champions.

Best place in town! Owner friendly, food amazing, restaurant clean. If you want a good bakery where the food is amazing going anywhere else is a crime.

Ok, just order the bread and chocolate for starters. These folks know how to bake. Croissants delicious. Sandwiches delicious. Yes, you have to wait in line during peak hours. That means this place is GOOD.

Seven years ago we bought a B&B in Andover, NH. Moving from NYC up to NH our greatest worries were the procurement of supplies guaranteeing for the quality of food we intended to serve our guests. A new neighbor suggested we meet with Franz, the owner of Bread and Chocolate. Since then I have bought about 1000 croissants a year,... More
