Sunday Luncheon

This is the first "luncheon" we've had at the Common Man (CM) - Concord and it was fine. There were four of us. We were seated as soon as we arrived (1 PM) in a not-full upstairs dining area. Walked to the common man for dinner as it was close to my hotel. Atmosphere was good and service was good. I had the Caesar Salad for appetizer and the New York Strip and Baked Potato. The steak came with some delicious caramelized Brussel Sprouts that were delicious. I would definitely recommend the Common Man for dinner.

The Common Man is a deservedly popular restaurant in Concord. Service is usually friendly and prompt, the menu is extensive, creative and hearty, the restaurant itself is cozy and comfortable. Our most recent visit was a family dinner for 10. We ranged in age from 6 to 82. Everyone was happy with their meal and the choices provided PLUS there... More

A great restaurant has great food, atmosphere, service and location. At the Common Man the food is commonly good- we tried the reuben, the veggie wrap and the blue cheese burger and they were good. Heated plates are always good but here they are needed due to the overhead fans that blow constantly and in the winter its not a tropical breeze!!... More

I enjoy going to the Common Man and I normally get the same items from the, my favorites. Tonight I tried something different and ordered something I have never had, Escargot. Guess what, I really liked it and will order it again. It tastes better than oyesters and I like them too. Since I didn't want a full meal, I... More

I always enjoy going to the common man. Last night was my birthday and I wanted to have my favorite dish there. The lobster corn chowder is to die for.Last night's was no exception. My wife had the "Best Burger" and she saidnit was really good. The only two things wrong last night or they would have gotten 5 stars.... More

My husband and I did call ahead seating and were seated immediately upon our arrival. The woman that seated us upstairs didn't give us a drink menu or really say anything to us. This woman continued to drop plates/silverware/glasses throughout our stay, so my hope is that she was new to the service industry. Our server was mediocre at best.... More

My sister always likes to go here on her Birthday! We went last year and had an awful experience. When she wanted to go to lunch again this year I bucked up and decided to give it another chance. AWE.....We arrived and had to wait 30 minutes. That was ok, as they had said the wait would be that long up... More

I was not familiar with "The Common Man". It was right down the road from my hotel Fairfield Inn. I enjoyed the atmosphere it had a very down home feel. The staff was pleasant and quickly accessible. I had a New York Strip and their loaded mashed potatoes. The best potatoes I've ever had. Bacon, cheese, and seasoned just right.... More

Meh. I've avoided Common Man in the past because of their actions against us as a gay couple on Valentine's Day... But decided why not try again. The food was good. We had a dish that was made incorrect, which 5 people checked in with us while it was made right. By the time we got the right order, everyone... More
