Really different. Excellent restaurant, had no idea it was a chain. Cheese and cracker bar on the house. Nantucket Pie was amazing. Shrimp, scallops, cod, and Maine lobster meat baked with lobster cream sauce and our seasoned Ritz crumbs. Lots of seafood. homemade white chocolate at the end. Our servers were wonderful. Friendly and helpful. I wish there was one... More

They had a grilled cheese sandwich to die for! (a little parmesan on the outside gave it a crunch without getting dry, and bacon on inside was smoky and delicious. Grilled fish and hamburgers were exceptional, too... not too dry and not too greasy.

Service is good, staff friendly. Food is average, a little bland. Vegetables overcooked, mushy. Desserts are good. Price is mid range.

Sorry but The Common Man deserves no better than an average rating. Menu choices are bullet proof and set expectations appropriately, I had the surf and turf that includes the Common Man's version of a crab cake along with a piece of steak. In retrospect, I would stick with a steak dish. My guest had the Pourtsmouth fish dish that... More

Loved our meal - food and service is fantastic. Cozy ambiance and decorated in the traditional New England style. They had a cheese and cracker bar, which the kids loved!

This place is great like most of the Cman restaurants. The blue cheese burger is always cooked to perfection. Tip: I tend to stop here if I can make it an early lunch. It can get crazy busy around 1 or after work.

This is a causal place with formal service. Relax on a couch with a drink before your dinner. Then decide what your dinner choice will be. You can't go wrong with any of the steak dinners.
