While visiting family in Concord, NH, we had the opportunity to eat at The Common Man restaurant. First, we just loved the atmosphere. The Common Man would be the perfect restaurant for just about any occasion...or...no occasion at all. Maybe you just love great food. Well, they have plenty of that. I had the NY strip which was cooked and... More

I was excited to have dinner here after having had an awesome experience at the Lincoln location. Unfortunately the Concord location is nowhere near as good as the Lincoln restaurant. All of choices were just, meh. I ordered the truck farm salad thinking that it would be perfect this time of year with all of the veggies in season and... More

We took our son here the night before he competed in a Timberman triathlon, and it exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere is charming, the staff friendly and attentive, and the food was creatively prepared and attractively served. Though the prime rib was slightly tough, our party found the rib and chicken dishes delicious.

I had the Portsmouth Pie. It was great. Fresh seafood, real mashed potatoes, seasonal veggies... you can't get better than that. The service was awkward. One person took my order, another brought the food, I had to hunt down my own silverware, another asked how my food was, another asked about dessert and rung me, took so long to swipe... More

I had written a rave of a quick bite we enjoyed at the bar a while back but, having come for a full service dinner for four, I have to say I will not return. We had one of those overly familiar waiters who was the only one who thought he was hilarious, the food was underwhelming and we were... More

Very slow service, and, they were confused and brought out the appetizer again thinking it hadn't ever been brought to the table. The wife received a plate of mussels which were almost all closed. In fairness the waitress was very accomodating and the manager immediately ordered a new plate. We all came out of there with our clothes smelling like... More

I came to try out this place thanks to TripAdvisor's (and the CVS Clerk from across the street) recommendation. I decided to try out the Liberty lounge upstairs and was not disappointed. When I walked in the cook in the open kitchen greeted me, gave me some yummy samples and recommended different dishes. I sat at the bar and immediately... More

Wow, what an underwhelming experience. We're locals, not tourists and know we're not in for a gourmet meal, but after today we will never be back. Sat at the 1st bar 430 in the afternoon, very few people, 1st bartender attentive at first then disappeared, 2nd bartender apparently didn't want to be there. Waited 45 minutes for food, when we... Visiting from Chicago, he suggested that we eat at The Common Man. I have never been to another Common Man and this is my third time for lunch here. It seems like this restaurant continues to find ways to compromise on the their food. I always order the bison burger. This time, I also ordered the strawberry shortcake. Very dissapointing.... More

I've dined at a number of locations for both lunch and dinner around NH for a number of years. My most recent lunch experience twice this summer and one dinner a few months ago can be summed up in one word.....average. I find both quality and service is not what it used to be for the money. The steak panini... More
