Visiting from Chicago, he suggested that we eat at The Common Man. I have never been to another Common Man and this is my third time for lunch here. It seems like this restaurant continues to find ways to compromise on the their food. I always order the bison burger. This time, I also ordered the strawberry shortcake. Very dissapointing.... More

I've dined at a number of locations for both lunch and dinner around NH for a number of years. My most recent lunch experience twice this summer and one dinner a few months ago can be summed up in one word.....average. I find both quality and service is not what it used to be for the money. The steak panini... More

We stopped here by chance and were so glad we did. My kids enjoyed the lobster mac n cheese (they do half orders of most entrées) the Portsmouth Pie and Cod Oscar were outstanding. Even the common cocktail was I had a gimlet, simple enough but, this one was infused with lavender and mint and was a tasty twist. Dinner... More

Great food but not much choice. It's a two pages menu so you better find something you like in there. Garlic bread is delicious.

This was the first time my husband and I had the pleasure of eating here and it was a fabulous experience. It started with the décor of the restaurant, the fantastic wait staff, the outstanding food that was beyond excellent, to the little pieces of white chocolate at the end of your meal to the little book they bring the... Quick friendly service and plenty of seating. I ordered the farmhouse omelette - I was served quickly and tasted as a great breakfast should. I would definitely return.

Came here for Sunday brunch with my boyfriend. I had eaten at a diner a few years back that was in "The Common Man family" of restaurants, so I figured it would be a comparably pleasant experience. Our waitress seemed very nervous or something, even mentioning to us that she "doesn't ever work on Sunday." The service wasn't bad per... More

My husband and I had dinner here on 7/5/14, since we were staying next door at the Fairfield Inn for the one night. We had never eaten at The Common Man before or heard of the chain but after reading some reviews thought we would give it a try. Let me say, I have Gluten issues, so it's not always... More

Living in NH for several years, my family had yet to try dinner at The Common Man only because we thought it was more of a tourist restaurant. We have always heard great things about them though and we enjoy watching them cook sometimes on WMUR so on a trip home from visiting family up north we decided to give... More

We had lunch at this establishment. The food was very good. We had a Rubin panini and soup and 1/2 ham sandwich. They were both very tasty. Portions wete large and prices were reasonable. Service was excellent. The ambience was attractive and rustic. The hostess was very pleasant as was the manager.
