Howdy from Texas

My friend and I went skiing in Killington and took a trip down the road to the Common Man. Enjoyed a couple of beers there. We were treated very well by Cindy R (Assistant Manager) and her staff. Always checking up on us. I recommend this place as a place to unwind and drink a couple of brews.

They have a wonderful menu, but the service is definitely slow. If you are looking for a quick meal, this place isn't for you. If you are willing to wait a bit, the food is worth it!

The Claremont NH Common Man is located in an AWESOME old Mill. The atmosphere is well worth the trip alone, let alone the great food. Can be a little pricey and you should plan on making reservations on the weekends if you want to eat at a reasonable hour. The only one complaint, should I feel the need to give... More

We went on a Friday at 5:30 pm. We called an hour before to be put on a waiting list because they do not take formal reservations. It was quite busy after 6:00 pm normal for a Friday. The atmosphere is that of a tavern with large beams overhead and the tables had glass lanterns on them. The waitstaff were... More

This makeover of an old mill had the nicest ambience! We have dined at weekend lunches and evening dinner. There's a fireplace where you can partake in complimentary crackers and cheese and enjoy the remnants of the building's history. The food is delicious! The inn superb!

Terrific food. Outstanding staff. Wide variety of land & sea options. We dined 3 times in one week! Dennis, the breakfast waiter, is a real asset to the place. On the dinner menu: Avoid the Lobster Dumplings (too greasy & too salty) but the Lobster Corn Chowder is AMAZING, the New England Pot Roast are simply the best there is!

Wow. Awesome. This restaurant is located on a river with falls and huge windows to admire the view. At night the falls are lit up. It's located in an old textile mill - lots of brick and brass and tall ceilings. I was told that in the summer the river runs through the restaurant. Definitely want to go back and... More

After arriving into Boston after an 8 hour flight - the promise of storms pending - we debated about stopping off for supper - but i'm pleased to say we did. This restaurant is great - food good - and we have never been disappointed. Cannot wait to return again this winter!

We went for a family meal. It started by a pleasant drink by the fire. There was cheese and crackers to nibble on. We got seated at our table with no problem. We had a good server who took our order promptly. Then we waited. We waited more and the manager came over and apologized for the delay. He said... More

This is a beautiful location for a quiet dinner or a large gathering. Set on the river in a restored old brick building, the atmosphere is enjoyable no matter what area of the restaurant you dine. The food is the reason for only three stars......sadly, it has been a disappointment the last three times I've eaten here. I had a... More
